June school holidays are right around the corner, mama but lucky for you, the kiddos are never going to get bored!

If you haven’t signed up your kiddos for any awesome Summer Camps and have chosen to find fun on your own, we’re glad to report our little island won’t be short of fun kids’ events anytime soon! From bonding family retreats to museums and lots of outdoor fun, check out our list of mid-year holiday events below!

White Sands Family Camping, Mega BBQ and Movie Drive-In

White Sands at Pasir Ris is set to bring families together with a full camping experience, awesome outdoor barbecue and outdoor movie drive-in! Introduce your littles to a full camping experience with The Singapore Scout Association and spend the night under the stars at the Urban Camp Out. Best part is, all equipment will be provided, with a Mega Outdoor BBQ to cap off a perfect evening. Also make sure you drive in for an outdoor screening of Kong Skull Island on 24 June, with a series of sporting fun and activities (think bouncy castles, an inflated rock wall and carnival game booths!) by ActiveSG right before the movie plays. Your little furry friends are welcome too!

LEGO Star Wars™ Days celebration at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort

LEGOLAND Malaysia is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars, and you’re invited! The park will be featuring the largest LEGO Star Wars MINILAND Model Display in Asia, and there will be plenty of LEGO building activities inspired by Star Wars characters, settings and stories. Get your kiddos to dress in a full Star Wars character costume and they’ll enter for FREE! They could even be part of one of the biggest Imperial March parades in the region. Plus, keep your eyes peeled for epic LEGO Star Wars collectibles available for purchase, and be sure to enter our LEGOLAND Giveaway!

Children’s Season at the National Museum of Singapore

Look forward to pop-ups of favourite Singapore family hangouts of the 1970s and 1980s, and a new interactive roving theatre that will take you around the museum’s galleries and spaces. Families can “hop on” their favourite mode of transport and go on a trail experiencing friendship, family, monuments and memories through interactive exhibits, sensorial stations, hands-on play, story-telling sessions and more at the National Museum of Singapore’s Children’s Season. Don’t miss installations from French artists, and Young Cinema which will present well-known animated cartoons and children’s classics from around the world.

DBS Marina Regatta 2017

You don’t have to be a fan of dragon boating to enjoy a regatta, mama! The DBS Marina Regatta 2017 is set to feature action on and off the water with Bayfest on Land. Take on Singapore’s largest inflatable water obstacle course at Battle Bay, join a pop-up urban beach with Bali beach club, Potato Head’s legendary Coconut Bar, enjoy lots to eat at Bay Eats and don’t miss the Bay Dome, which will feature an installation of two majestic nine- and 7.5-metre tall domes at the regatta.

KiidsConnect

Celebrate the energy, diversity and talents of young people in the arts with Kiidsconnect, a peer-to-peer arts carnival by and for young people! Featuring not only the performing talents of kiddos aged 7 – 12, Kiidsconnect also offers a platform for young leaders to be nurtured, especially those interested in conceptualising, managing and leading events in the arts. Catch three double-bill performances – Piknowcchio Playstore & In Transit, The Chosen Cat & I Wish and The Four Harmonious Friends & By The Book – consisting of two performances lasting 30 – 45 minutes each performed by 9 to 12-year-olds.

Families for Life Celebrations 2017

Be a part of the first Family Duathlon at the annual Families for Life Celebrations! Get the best of both worlds in running and cycling, and enjoy the beautiful city skyline starting from St Andrew’s Road, in front of the iconic National Gallery Singapore. Held in conjunction with Car-Free Sunday, families can enjoy running and cycling on the closed roads on a bright Sunday morning with a slew of exciting family-bonding activities afterwards, including a Breakfast Picnic with local delights, Bouncy Castles and Inflatables, free snacks and drinks offered at the signature Families for Life Mobile Café and more!

Pets Picnic Party 2017

Gather at Sentosa Cove’s green field with your furry ones while enjoying a picnic meal and saying hi to other pet lovers! Look forward to a bustling weekend market of craft and pet accessory stalls, fun stage games with the pooches, and even a free photo booth sesh by Fourstops! Pets Picnic Party 2017 will also partner with animal welfare group Causes for Animals (CAS) to hold an adoption drive at the picnic.

June Holiday Little Shakespeare Workshop at The Arts House

School’s out and play’s in, mama! This June holiday, allow your little one to explore the enchanting world of Macbeth through speech and drama in Little Shakespeare. The programme will end off with a fun-filled, exclusive crafts activity on stick puppets. Recommended for children aged 5 to 6 years old

Science Centre Singapore June Holiday Activities

Everyone’s favourite centre for all things science brings new additions to get your brain buzzing! Check out Professor Crackitt’s Light Fantastic, a mirror maze that features 105 mirror cells and numerous interactive exhibits. Specially curated for 12 years and below, the Dino Robot Factory walks kiddos through and allows them to experience the process of creating a Robot Dinosaur. Plus, to the Omni-Theatre to venture into the revolutionary world of humanoid robots and see how they’re changing our world!

Rainbow Connections Parent-Child 1 Day Retreat

In addition to signing up your bubbas for camps and workshops, how about taking some time out to spend a little bonding time at a retreat? The Rainbow Connections Parent-Child 1 Day Retreat encourages mamas, papas and kiddos to rediscover themselves, enhance bonding with activities like games, kids’ cooking, family mission creation and yoga. Asia Pacific Youth Robotics Competition

Asia Pacific Youth Robotics Competition (APYRC) is a robotics competition for science, technology, and engineering and mathematics (STEM) that brings young people together to develop problem solving skills and creativity. The well-rounded event for students helps in understanding the design and building of a robot to compete in various robotics events. If your kiddo has a knack for robotics, this is where to take them, mama!

BASF Kids’ Lab 2017

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of BASF Kids’ Lab, curious little ones are invited to engage in the topic of plastics and recycling through a specially designed experiment. Participants will learn the properties of plastics, and design a kit to separate and recycle them. Children will also have a blast using materials found at home to create beautiful colors to design their very own colourful butterfly! Recommended for kiddos aged 7 – 12 years old.

Da Vinci Group June Holiday Workshops

For two hours each day, little ones will experience fun in learning through DVG’s highly acclaimed NeuroCeramics and NeuroTheatre Programmes. While discovering new content they’ll also work with lead-and-toxin free clay to mould their creations, using stories, drama, movement, and music to discover embodied learning.
