Here’s our ultimate glamping in Singapore guide, from where to camp out to how to picnic or party in style!
Glamping in Singapore combines the wonders of being outside with the creature comforts of a hotel room, I mean where else in Singapore can you stargaze then wake up to the sound of waves gently lapping the beach…while sleeping on a comfy mattress, with aircon?
For a birthday party, romantic getaway, or good old fashioned family bonding, glamping is a unique way to enjoy the out of doors. We love that many of the Singapore glamping companies that have cropped up in recent years also offer picnic setups. Even if you decide you don’t want to camp out overnight, you can still host a unique and stylish party (without having to worry about cleaning up afterwards!).
Glamping is also relatively affordable, with many tents starting from around $150 per night. While most companies require you to apply for an NParks camping permit, it’s actually free, and can be done online or via AXS machine. Glamping is widely available in East Coast Park, with select companies offering additional sites in Pasir Ris Park, Punggol, Sentosa and elsewhere.
COVID-19 Update: NParks have advised that camping sites (including Pulau Ubin) and barbecue pits are closed until further notice, so for now we will have to picnic in parks and glamp at home!
These chic tents at East Coast Park and Sentosa are beautifully decorated, and come with lots of cool themes (Harry Potter, Mermaid, Princess, and Great Gatsby, just to name a few) that would be a sure hit for a kids’ birthday party. Glamping City also has a movie screening option, where you can view movies either indoors (in a large Family Suite) or outside under the stars. They have picnic tents, too! The Sentosa tents are a step up, luxury-wise, with aircon, refrigerators and private toilets.

Singapore’s first glamping provider, Glamping Society offers tent packages in both East Coast Park and the hip Punggol Container Park (near picturesque Punggol Waterway). You can choose from four different types of tents, and there are fun add-on options like a pizza, fairy lights and balloons. Punggol tents are air-conditioned (a must in Singers!), and tents are kitted out with beds, rugs and colorful cushions. We think the Birthday Party Package(including pizzas, balloons, birthday cake and a float for up to 6 people), would be a big hit with kids. The Punggol tents even come with electrical outlets.
