It goes without saying that Singapore is a fab place for running, especially with so many family-friendly parks around. That said, you might be looking to challenge yourself to a full marathon (41.195km), a half marathon (21.1km), or even a 10km run or below. Well, you’re in luck because there are so many running events in Singapore and marathons that take place throughout the year! Many of these Singapore marathons also support good causes, and we love that there are plenty that include fun runs and kids’ dashes for some good family fun.

Run for Light 2025: 10km run in Singapore
Run for Light is back for its 10th edition, in support of the visually challenged. At this running event, join the signature 1km blindfold walk, followed by a fun run and competitive run. Some great prizes are up for grabs, including a resort stay, vouchers and more, so train up before this marathon in Singapore!

Is this a kid-friendly running event? The run is open to kids 8 years old and above. Kids aged 14 and above may join the 10km competitive run.

Snoopy Run 2025: Running event in Singapore
It’s the 75th anniversary of the beloved Peanuts universe, and its titular character Snoopy takes centre stage. Celebrate this comic book icon at the Snoopy Run 2025 Powered by JomRun. SpongeBob Pirate Walk & Run: Kids running event in Singapore
Whether you’re a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants or love pirates (and a dose of fresh air and fun), you need to mark your calendars for the SpongeBob Pirate Walk & Run! Families with kids of all ages can enjoy a 3km interactive walk, while runners can take on the more challenging 7km run. Dress the whole family up in your best SpongeBob pirate-inspired outfits and you may just win some fun prizes (check out where to get costumes in Singapore here). Snag some great SpongeBob pirate-themed merch; you’ll get some great ones with your race pack, too!

2XU Compression Run 2025: Half marathon in Singapore
The 2XU Compression Run 2025 takes place at the F1 Pit Building this year. Perfect for running enthusiasts, the 2XU Compression Run is all about tenacity and courage, so you can expect to turn up bright and early surrounded by a competitive spirit!

National Vertical Marathon 2025: Vertical marathon in Singapore
If you’re always the one saying, “let’s take the stairs,” then the National Vertical Marathon is for you. The National Vertical Marathon is back for its 2025 edition, and this year, the goal is to race up Guoco Midtown. Attempt the challenge solo, or pair up with a buddy to reach the top of the tower. Gather your best runner buddies for the Teams Open, or take it on as a family!

SAFRA Diaper Dash: Baby run in Singapore
The adorable SAFRA Diaper Dash is back and it promises a tonne of fun for the little ones. This year’s SAFRA Diaper Dash takes on a special SG60 theme, with Pororo Park as its partner. There’ll be Pororo meet-and-greet sessions and sing-alongs, and of course, adorable baby races for little ones as young as 6 months old to 36 months old. There are prizes to be won, so it’s going to be an exciting race!

Income Eco Run 2025: Half marathon in Singapore, kids’ run & more
A run for competitive runners, families, kids and even cats and dogs? We’re so here for it! There’s so much happening at the Income Eco Run 2025, and it’s all for a great cause as it shines the spotlight on a zero-waste lifestyle. The Income Eco Run is introducing the 1km Pets Category for the very first time, so bring your good furkids to join the cause. Kids as young as 4 years old can also participate in the Kids Categories. It’s all worth it–because for every kilometre each participant clocks, Income Insurance will donate $1 towards the zero waste movement.

Is this a kid-friendly running event? Yes! Kids aged 4 – 12 can join the kids categories, and kids aged 13 and up can join the adult categories. Dogs and cats are also welcome for the pets category!

Smurfs Run 2025 Powered by JomRun: Running event in Singapore
Marina Barrage will see a sea of blue as the Smurfs Run takes over on 28 June. This family-friendly weekend event has two non-competitive race categories: a 2km fun walk and a 4km fun run. Complete the Smurfs Run race and you’ll get your finisher medal, and be sure to collect your race pack beforehand, which includes Smurfs-themed keepsakes.

Unlabelled Run 2025: Fun run & competitive run in Singapore
As the conversation surrounding mental health continues, there’s no better way to raise awareness about stigmatisation and discrimination than with those who’ve experienced it themselves. Enter: the Unlabelled Run, which is a call to unite society to be more inclusive, cohesive and compassionate and remove prejudicial labels.

Cold Storage and Giant Kids Run 2025: Kids marathon in Singapore
Finally, a kids’ marathon perfect for the energetic little ones who love to run! The Cold Storage and Giant Kids Run is back and kids can take part in both competitive and non-competitive races. Some great prizes are up for grabs, including hampers worth up to $400 and trophies for the top finishers. P.S. Strollers are perfectly welcome if you’re coming with younger kids!
P.S. There is a FREE Breakfast Run for all participants taking place on 31 May 2025 from 8am – 11am at Marina Square. It’s limited to the first 300 participants, so be sure to register early.

Lazada Run 2025: Half marathon in Singapore
The Lazada Run 2025 is back for its second run! Taking place across six countries in Southeast Asia, its Singapore edition will be held on 27 July 2025. You’ll want to train hard for this running event because the winners of the competitive 10km and 21.1km categories can win up to $1,000 and $1,500 respectively! Look forward to other fun events such as a Voucher Snatch during the 5km fun run, and a Cart Dash shopping showdown.

Pink Ribbon Walk 2025: Walkathon to support breast cancer awareness
The Pink Ribbon Walk takes place annually in support of breast cancer awareness. This walkathon helps raise awareness and funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation. Stay tuned for more information as details of Pink Ribbon Walk 2025 have yet to be released.

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2025: Biggest running event in Singapore
Arguably Singapore’s biggest marathon of the year, dating back to 1982, the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (also known as the Standard Chartered run) takes place at the end of each year. The Singapore Marathon’s 2025 edition is going to be equally as exciting, and runners of all ages are welcome to join! We’ve seen past years’ marathons with participants decked out in fun costumes, so feel free to add some excitement to your challenge.

Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2025 (TBA)
Held every year, the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run is all about supporting second chances. It’s a meaningful movement that encourages the community to embrace ex-offenders and help them rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. Last year’s Yellow Ribbon Prison Run had a 10km competitive run, a 5km non-competitive run, and even a Kids Dash measuring 700m!
