Looking to reach a new fitness goal or simply support a good cause? We’ve got the lowdown on all the best Singapore marathons and running events taking place, including half marathons, 10km runs, fun runs, kids’ runs and more!

It goes without saying that Singapore is a fab place for running, especially with so many family-friendly parks around. That said, you might be looking to challenge yourself to a full marathon (41.195km), a half marathon (21.1km), or even a 10km run or below. Well, you’re in luck because there are so many running events and marathons in Singapore that take place throughout the year! Many of these marathons also support good causes, and we love that there are plenty that include fun runs and kids’ dashes for some good family fun. Looking to train for the occasion? 1. Steps of Hope Walkathon at RWS Cares Festival

We can’t think of anything better than a walkathon where you’re cheered on by your favourite characters! That’s what you’ll get when you join the Steps of Hope Walkathon that’s part of the RWS Cares Festival. This is perhaps the most unique walkathon you’ll encounter in Singapore, where Its 1.4km route will take you through three landmark attractions, Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. Along the way, you can meet crowd-favourites such as Illumination’s Minions, DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda and Shrek, Sesame Street friends, Transformers, POP MART’s Twinkle Twinkle and more.

The best part is, it’s all for a good cause! Proceeds from the Steps of Hope Walkathon go to benefit social and environmental causes such as the Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), TomoWork, and MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Fund, through the President’s Challenge. Each Steps of Hope Walkathon ticket also includes same-day admission to Adventure Cove Waterpark–the perfect way to cool off and have fun after the walkathon. While you’re there, be sure to check out the Green Living Fair along with an array of family-friendly activities.

Note: Tickets to the walkathon do not include same-day entry to the Singapore Oceanarium and Universal Studios Singapore. Attractions, rides and shows will also not be available during the walk.

6. Walk for Our Children 2026: Family-friendly walkathon

The Singapore Children’s Society’s annual Walk for Our Children ft. RBC Race for the Kids returns this year. Besides a fun walk and challenging race, you can expect lots of family fun at this running event in Singapore, including carnival booths and performances. Look forward to a stamp rally where you can participate in activities, collect stamps, and redeem a small token of appreciation (while stocks last). There’s also a talent showcase, and yes, you can sign your child up to perform! If you’re a frequent participant of Walk for Our Children, wear your oldest Walk for Our Children T-shirt to stand a chance to win a prize.

7. 7-Eleven Run: 5km & 10km run in Singapore

The 7-Eleven Run is back at Marina Barrage! This running event in Singapore has everything from exclusive 7-Eleven merch, music, games and a mini-carnival for a post-run wind-down. Parents, bring the kiddos along for the new 1.5km parent-child fun run category!

8. Running Lab Run 2026: 10km run in Singapore

The Running Lab Run takes place at Marina Barrage this year, with two categories: an easy 5km run and a 10km competitive run. Runners will race through the footpaths along Gardens by the Bay East and Tanjong Rhu for a scenic view en route to scoring that medal.

9. Pocari Sweat Run 2026: Running event open to kids

The Pocari Sweat Run is back this year, with two categories and run workshops. Finishers of this Singapore marathon get cool Pocari Sweat medals as well as race entitlements featuring the isotonic beverage’s branding.

10. Mr Bean 35th Anniversary Chase The Teddy Run

You cannot call yourself a millennial if you haven’t spent your afternoons watching the comedic gems of Mr Bean. Well, this year marks the series’ 35th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than with a run? This one’s by JomRun, so you can expect the usual adorable runner’s entitlements, including a keychain, microfiber towel and drawstring bag. Other official merch can be added on, too!

11. Yellow Ribbon Run 2026

It’s back after a two-year hiatus! The Yellow Ribbon Prison Run is all about supporting second chances. It’s a meaningful movement that encourages the community to embrace ex-offenders and help them rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

12. Singtel – Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer 2026

The Race Against Cancer is back! Organised by the Singapore Cancer Society, this marathon in Singapore rallies the community to support those impacted by cancer. All funds will go towards a good cause, including vital services, treatment subsidies, welfare aid, rehabilitation, hospice care, screenings, research, education and support groups. This year, you can also join a virtual race at your convenience, via the Strava App!

Is this a kid-friendly running event?

13. BT21 Star Walk: Family-friendly evening walkathon

Take in the sunset sights of Marina Bay at this family-friendly walkathon in Singapore. The BT21 Star Walk has adorable event collectibles and merch, plus 2km of photo-worthy moments and good vibes.

14. SparkAbility 2026: FREE running event in Singapore

SparkAbility 2026: A Walk for Change is co-organised by the Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) and SPD–combining their signature events SPD Ability Walk and SOS’ Spark the Change Fest. The goals remains the same: to normalise conversations surrounding disability inclusion and suicide prevention. There’ll be an Activity Village where you’ll find game booths and food, disability simulation activities, live performances and a museum of hope showcase.

15. The Kiprun Singapore 2026: Half marathon in Singapore

Decathlon Singapore and MetaSport are organising the inaugural Kiprun Singapore! From a 21.1km Half Marathon for serious runners to 10km and 5km runs for those after a more achievable goal, this running event’s got something for every type of runner. There’s even a breezy 670m Kids Dash for the little ones. Look forward to entertainment zones, live music and lots of good vibes along the course.

18. Healing Steps: Walk For Mental Health

We know all too well the importance of paying attention to mental health. Celebrating World Mental Health Day, Healing Steps by Club HEAL is a walkathon that shows solidarity to those living with mental health conditions. Funds raised through the event will enable Club HEAL to continue providing its non-funded programmes and recovery services, giving more individuals access to timely care, ongoing support and a chance to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Walkathon race categories: 2km, 4km & 8km walk or run. There’s also a kids fun run of 200m (6 – 8yo) & 400m (9 – 12yo).
Is this a kid-friendly running event? Yes! There is no age limit to participate, however, participants must be at least 13 years old to  join the 8km walk/run.

19. Limitless Move For Hope 2026

Show your support for youths navigating mental health challenges at Move For Hope 2026, organised by Limitless. The organisation has been providing accessible mental health support to youths since 2016, and this running event is an annual fundraiser where proceeds go to support their services. Look forward to an evening of wholesome community spirit, glow-in-the-dark accessories and more.

If you love all things cutesy, you’ll likely know of Butterbear, the adorable bear mascot of the popular Thai bakery in Bangkok. Well, you can now join the Butterbear Happy Walk right here in Singapore! There’ll be photo ops along the route, and lots of cute merch to get your hands on.

Spotlighting intergenerational bonding, the POSB PAssion Run For Kids has five kid-friendly race categories. Kids can experience the race in a space designed specifically for them, while supporting a good cause to benefit the POSB PAssion Kids Fund. There’s also a festival village with five wholesome themes, including sustainability and kindness. Take part in fun activities and enjoy live entertainment while you’re at it!

25. Garmin Run Singapore: Half-marathon in Singapore

Here’s one for the competitive runners: the Garmin Run Asia Series is coming to Singapore and there are cash prizes to be won! The race takes place at marathon-fave venue Marina Barrage, and welcomes those who want to challenge themselves in speed and stamina.

The Great Eastern Women’s Run is a yearly event made for women, offering a fun and empowering space to come together in the name of health, wellness, and friendship. Beyond the run, it’s also about giving back—supporting causes like Daughters of Tomorrow and the Singapore Cancer Society.

27. Pokémon RUN 30: Singapore Edition

A Pokémon run complete with a Pokémon Gym with fun obstacles, themed activities and Pokémon encounters en route? Count us in! The Pokémon RUN 30 will take place in Singapore over two days, as part of this pop culture icon’s 30th anniversary. Unlike other marathon events, this one comes with a whole bunch of activities, including themed obstacle courses at the Pokémon Gym and a Pokémon Centre hydration station. You’ll also encounter themed challenges along the run course, including Gym battles, meeting wild Pokémon and more. Look forward to a festival zone that’s open to both participants and non-participants, that includes a pop-up store, a Pikachu Parade and meet-and-greet, Pokémon trading cards and game tutorials, trial plays, experience zones, photo ops and of course, adorable runners kits that include trading cards!

28. AIA HYROX Singapore November 2026

Not technically a marathon, but with 8km of running and high intensity workout challenges, we’d say that HYROX Singapore 2026 has got to be on every fitness enthusiast’s list with eight stations to conquer. 29. Run for Hope 2026: Year-end running event

Run for Hope is a yearly event by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore. Run for Hope aims to bring people together to show support and raise awareness for cancer research—a cause that touches countless lives. There’ll also be live performances and health and wellness booths for you to browse as you wind down after your run!

30. BYD Singapore International Marathon 2026: Biggest running event in Singapore

Arguably Singapore’s biggest marathon of the year, the BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas (formerly known as the Standard Chartered marathon/the Singapore Marathon) takes place at the end of each year. The 2026 edition is going to be equally as exciting, and runners of all ages are welcome to join! Little ones can also participate in the highly popular Kids’ Dash and competitive kids’ run. We’ve seen past years’ marathons with participants decked out in fun costumes, so feel free to add some excitement to your challenge.

The Salvation Army’s annual running event, Race For Good, is back! Proceeds will go towards the organisation’s critical programmes, initiatives, infrastructure and operations–also a good way to teach the kiddos about volunteering in Singapore. There’s also a carnival, Festival for Good, taking place where runners and their families can wind down.

Santa Race for Wishes: Virtual run, walk & cycle

Make-A-Wish Singapore’s annual Santa Race for Wishes 2025 is back! This running event aims to raise awareness and support for children and families facing extraordinary medical challenges, with the goal of hitting a collective distance of 60,000km through running, walking or cycling. You can also donate to support the cause!

Singapore marathon race categories: Walk, run or cycle any amount you wish to. There are milestones you can hit between 3pm and 200km!

There are two runs by JomRun taking place at Marina Barrage, and it’s a treat for families! Relay for Life 2026: 100km relay challenge

The Singapore Cancer Society – Tamarind Health Relay For Life 2026 is all about recognising and connecting cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers and partners. You can be part of an epic 100km relay that stretches 15 hours long, overnight, symbolising the ongoing race of the cancer community. There’s also a virtual race for you to show your support to the cause. Proceeds will go to benefit various programmes and services by the Singapore Cancer Society. Not joining the 100km relay? Come support the cause anyway, with sharing sessions and stage performances at the event. Entry to the fringe activities is free!

We’re huge fans of the adorable Gudetama, the cute, lazy egg yolk character from Sanrio. The Gudetama Egg-citing Walk is back for its 2026 edition and there’s lots of fun for the family. Participate in an egg hunt along the 3km trail and earn badges through a digital egg hunt and activities. The race pack is also filled with collectibles, namely adorable Gudetama merch, including an eggy yellow race tee.

There’s so much happening at the Income Eco Run, and it’s all for a great cause as it shines the spotlight on a zero-waste lifestyle. The Income Eco Run brings back the 1km Pets Category, so bring your furkids to join the cause. Kids as young as 4 years old can also participate in the Kids Categories. It’s all worth it–because for every kilometre each participant clocks, Income Insurance will donate $1 towards the zero waste movement.

The adorable SAFRA Diaper Dash is back and it promises a tonne of fun for the little ones. This year’s SAFRA Diaper Dash takes on a special SG60 theme, with Pororo Park as its partner. There’ll be Pororo meet-and-greet sessions and sing-alongs, and of course, adorable baby races for little ones as young as 6 months old to 36 months old. There are prizes to be won, so it’s going to be an exciting race!

We are huge fans of anything Disney-related, and so there’s no doubt we’re excited for Disney Run Singapore 2026! Presented by Uniqlo,  this family-friendly running event is inspired by Mickey and Friends. Feel free to dress up as your favourite Disney characters and gear up for a wholesome time with fellow Disney fans. There are four race shirt designs featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck that’ll be assigned at random, along with cute race entitlements that include a drawstring bag!
