Whether you want to spend some quality time with your baby or keen to start their education at a young age, checking out a playgroup is your best bet – because who said enrichment classes were just for big kids? While the newborn phase can definitely feel like a bit of a sleep-deprived blur at times, soon enough you’ll be itching to get out of the house and do something more than just stare at your adorable munchkin sleeping or roll around on a play mat.
From music and movement baby classes (even newborns like listening to songs!) to swimming and messy play, there are heaps out there to stimulate babies in a nurturing, age-appropriate manner. We’ve included parent- and caretaker-accompanied playgroups, as well as drop-off infant care facilities for working parents to cover the full range of possibilities out there!
Lucy Sparkles & Friends

The playgroup sessions help them develop their musical, physical, emotional and intellectual skills through live guitar, ukulele or keyboard, acapella singing games, action songs, rhymes, parachute play, puppets, listening and moving to live and recorded music and by playing along on percussion instruments. All of their music teachers are professional musicians who play real instruments and have a passion for working with children in their early years.
