Bond with your baby, have fun, and meet other mamas with our guide to the Best Baby Classes in Singapore!
Whether you want to spend some quality time with your wee one in a nurturing environment, or you’re keen to start their education at a young age, enrichment classes aren’t just for big kids mama!
While the newborn phase can definitely feel like a bit of a sleep-deprived blur at times, soon enough, we find, you’re itching to get out of the house and do something more than just stare at your adorable munchkin sleeping or rolling around on a play mat. From music and movement classes (even newborns like listening to songs!) to swimming and messy play, there’s heaps out there to stimulate babies in a nurturing, age-appropriate manner. We’ve included parent- and caretaker-accompanied classes, as well as drop-off infant care facilities for working parents to cover the full range of possibilities out there, mama!
6 to 36 months
With two convenient locations (Bukit Timah and UE Square) and a wide range of parent-accompanied playgroups, classes and drop-in sessions for children 6 to 36 months, Blue House is hands-down one of our very favourite resources for magical, enriching bonding time with your bubs. The absolutely stunning Ateliers (far more soothing than garish and over-stimulating) provide little ones with interactive, sensory-driven experiences, whether through storytelling, songs, musical instruments, or the creative use of materials and textures (we’ll never forget the look of wonder on our one-year-old’s face when she saw feathers shooting up into the air, or her giggles when she got to crawl around in corn starch goop!).

EtonHouse is way more than just preschool, mama; the Stay & Play Programme for children 9 – 22 months of age is a great opportunity for parents to bond with their babies, meet other parents and pick up learning strategies from EtonHouse’s experienced international team of educators. We particularly love the 50:50 English/Chinese bilingual immersion (the earlier you expose your baby to other languages, the better!), not to mention the beautiful, safe and stimulating Reggio-Emilia environments EtonHouse is known for. Kiddos use their sense of touch, sight, smell, hearing … even taste on occasion to engage with materials including paint, water, sand, clay, fabric and more. Throw in small class sizes and availability at four EtonHouse campuses across Singapore (Bukit Timah, Orchard, Newton Road and Sentosa), and it’s a fab, convenient option for mamas and kiddos looking for a stepping stone on the way to preschool.

With two East Coast locations and a third spot at Tanglin Mall, the brilliant Early Childhood programmes at this popular music school employ a multi-sensory approach that involves singing, playing, moving, listening and watching. At such an early age it’s all about giving babies and toddlers the confidence to experiment, improvise and create their own music. Suitable for babies as young as newborns, the Junior Discovery programme is based on the Suzuki ECE and Suzuki Method, utilizing everything from nursery rhymes and chants to singing and percussion playing (might take your bub a few months to get a handle on that part of things!). Along the way, children not only hone their musical acumen, but gain social skills and improve coordination, memory, concentration, language, creativity, self-confidence, and physical composure!
