There are plenty of great kids’ musicals, theatre shows and plays in Singapore! Read on for all the upcoming live productions for kids in 2026, including circus acts, puppetry, energetic concerts and interactive elements.

We love that there are always fabulous kids’ musicals and theatre shows in Singapore to catch with our little ones year-round! Bringing your child to a kids’ play is a great way to introduce them to the world of performing arts at a young age, not to mention a fab way to keep the kids entertained over weekends in Singapore. We list all the best kid-friendly productions to catch in 2026, including lively musicals, puppetry, concerts, circuses and more! We’re looking forward to productions such as ‘The BFG’ in May, ‘The Cat in the Hat’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ taking place in June, as well as the Slava Snow Show in July.

1. The Cat in the Hat kids’ musical

We’re huge fans of iconic children’s author Dr. Seuss, especially his most mischievous character, The Cat in the Hat! So it comes as no surprise if this kids’ theatre show is something us parents are looking forward to, too. In this live production by ABA Productions and Sam Bradshaw Productions from the UK, you can expect to see all your favourite characters in the flesh: including Sally and her brother, plus a tonne of mayhem. We hear there’s even a chance to meet the Cat in the Hat himself after the show!

2. Roald Dahl’s The BFG

The BFG by Roald Dahl is no doubt a childhood classic, and now you can let your own kids experience this literary favourite right here in Singapore. We’re most looking forward to seeing the iconic giant himself, created with expert puppetry and fascinating illusions. Follow the tale of Sophie who befriends the Big Friendly Giant and comes up with a plan to save people from human-eating giants! Read more here.

3. Pokémon Brass Concert (FREE kids’ concert!)

Pokémon fans, this one’s for you! There’s a FREE Pokémon Brass Concert taking place at Esplanade for one day only. As its name suggests, you can expect brass instruments galore, with powerful tunes spotlighting the unique traits of brass instruments. And yes, Pikachu will be making an appearance!

4. Together

We love that many kids’ theatre experiences are incorporating interactivity that allows the little ones to revel in play and imagination. If that’s up your alley, bookmark Together for a story that hits close to home. Follow the adventures of siblings Gor Gor and Mei Mei who find their HDB flat magically transformed into a gateway that brings them on a whimsical adventure. This local production is packed with wholesome themes of problem-solving, empathy and cooperation.

5. Scaredy Kat Presents

Scaredy Kat Presents is a unique kid-friendly live production in Singapore, based on the less-spoken-about theme of panic attacks. Follow Kathryn’s journey on how she has dealt with these attacks since her younger days. We won’t give any spoilers, but you can expect some fascinating incorporations of puppetry and stop-motion animation that encourages embracing fear, celebrating mistakes and finding the confidence to thrive.

6. Flipside 2026: Festival with circus, comedy, kids’ theatre & puppetry

7. Charlie And The Chocolate Factory: Kids’ musical in Singapore

We’ve read the books, we’ve watched the movies, and now we can watch a live kids’ musical version in Singapore; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is coming to Sands Theatre in May 2026! Follow the candy-laden adventure of Willy Wonka and Charlie Bucket in a production packed with catchy tunes and stage magic. Look forward to hearing iconic songs from the original film alongside new numbers by the award-winning songwriters of the Broadway musical, Hairspray.

8. Pixar In Concert

9. Slava’s Snow Show kids’ play

Kids (and grown-ups!) will be enthralled by this highly interactive theatre show that features “The Greatest Clown in the World”! Watch the stage come alive as swirling snow fills the theatre and be blown away by gusts of wind. The best part? Look forward to giant balloons that will bounce around the crowd, inviting you to join the playful chaos.

10. Chicken Little by the Singapore Repertory Theatre

It’s hard not to feel bad for poor Chicken Little! If you’ve watched the 2005 film, you’ll know how the world fell in love with this worrywart chicken who’s afraid of everything. Now, you’ll be able to see her adventure unfold on the stage, in this music-filled kids’ theatre show. Find out whether Chicken Little will get to warn The King that the sky is falling, and meet some quirky and unique characters along the way.
