Best Shows and Performances for Babies and Toddlers
Marmalade – Cancelled
Marmalade, the tactile performance that’s been shown globally, comes to Singapore with act3 International this spring. Marmalade looks at the world through body, eye, feeling and taste in a room with fluffy skirts, soft circus and Fellini music. Expect lots of poetic movements and circus actions, to keep you and your baby entrained throughout the 30-minute performance by choreographer Claire Parsons. Note that there’s a 20% early bird discount for tickets booked by 24 February!

Best Kids Shows for 3-Year-Olds & Up
We especially like that there’s a female conductor at this SSO Concert! Get a glimpse of Jessica Gethin on a Journey Around the World with the orchestra as you explore soundscapes of music from across the globe. This interactive show celebrates the beauty of cultural diversity, uniting people through the language of music. Recommended for ages 4 and above.

Fly High – Postponed
Fly High by Singapore Repertory Theatre takes kids into the realms of the friendship between Poppy and Mo, who both have a dream of flying. When they meet each other in the park they soon become friends and decide to embark on a crazy ambition of building their very own flying machine. This show is all about theatrical fun, comedy, original songs, and puppetry to create a whirlwind tour through the basics of STEAM, aerodynamics and friendship. SRT does a “relaxed” performance (on 21 March, 2pm) for those on the Autistic spectrum, living with Dementia and patrons with diverse learning and communication needs; an Audio Described Performance for those blind or visually impaired (15 March 2020, Sunday, 2pm); and a Sign Language Interpreted performances (28 March 2020, Saturday, 2pm).

Disney On Ice – Cancelled
Disney On Ice presents Live Your Dreams this March! It’s not just Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse ice skating — this time the show features Moana, who goes on a quest with demigod Maui to save her island and find her own identity. Then there’s Belle as she fearlessly befriends the enchanted castle staff and reveals the Beast’s gentleness. Frozen lovers will be excited to see Anna and Elsa, plus there’s Rapunzel and Cinderella on stage, too. Go early and dance with special guests, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

Based on the best-selling book series, The Return Of The Kingdom Of Fantasy is set to be a “fabumouse” adventure as Geronimo tries to save the Queen of the Fairies. Geronimo Stilton Live – The Return to the Kingdom of Fantasy is a performance using multi-media effects, music and animation to bring the magical elements of the second book of the Kingdom of Fantasy series to life onstage. Great for those who love the books!
Best Kids Shows for 7-Year-Olds & Up
SSO Pops: To Broadway, With Love (7yrs+)
The Singapore Symphony Orchestra is putting on an unmissable musical show for 7-year-olds and up (they are pretty strict on this point — you’ll need to show proof of age and no under-7s will be admitted, even if they have a ticket). Listen out for music from your favourite musicals from the Great White Way, including the absolute best music from The Sound of Music, The King and I, The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, amongst many others. We feel a song coming on!
