Jun and the Octopus

Based on the picture book by the Singapore Children’s Society, Jun and the Octopus deals with heavy issues such as body safety and child sexual abuse. The play details the story of Jun, a fun-loving boy who dreams that he’s struggling and trapped in the deep ends of the ocean, where an octopus’ tentacles have ensnared him. Throughout the story, Jun goes on a journey that talks about the power of truth, the courage to stand up for oneself and the importance of boundaries. The story is presented through puppetry, and there will be a 30-minute post-show session with experienced social workers from the Singapore Children’s Society.

PLAYTIME! 2021

The Noisy Forest is an interactive kids’ theatre show aimed at sparking your child’s creativity and encourages learning through the performing arts. In The Noisy Forest, noise and sound, movement and play are all blended into one. Bang, Clap, Snap! Dance around the noisy forest. There are so many sounds to be made, and vibrations to encounter, so many new noises to discover! We love how shows at the Esplanade Theatre Studio have kids sitting on the floor (great for fidgety kids who won’t stay in a seat).
