Customised Christmas ornaments really are the best, and this year you won’t have to hunt too hard for them with Resin Play’s fun Christmas event. At this workshop you can make your own Christmas ornaments from safe resin. Kids will get to make a set of two Christmas ornaments from scratch using water-based resin, non-toxic epoxy resin, coloured pigments and glitter. They’ll choose from a series of shapes (snowflakes, stars, hearts, Christmas trees, popsicles and Pikachu, for example), and the finished Christmas ornaments can be brought home to be hung on your Christmas tree. Chalk n Pencil’s Christmas events in Singapore are a creative way to get your kids into Christmas mode. This jazzy Christmas event in Singapore is more for mums and dads on date night! Head down to Victoria Theatre for a fun night (or three) of double-bill jazz concerts with popular acts such as Wei 5 featuring Alemay Fernandez, Aaron James Lee Group featuring Richard Jackson, Rani Singam, Rit Xu Group, The Steve McQueens and Regi Leo. Each 45-minute set will comprise a Christmas tune, class jazz song, an original composition, two songs that represent 2020, as well as two dedications that will be selected by the audience.

2020 may have been a challenging year, but the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) isn’t going to let it all pass without its annual Christmas Concert. This year’s Yuletide concert is a virtual one, and you can expect Baroque classics by Handel, Bach, Vaughan Williams, and Vivaldi. The orchestra will play contemporary Christmas carols by music composer John Rutter, too.

Get into the holiday spirit with a series of Christmas events and performances by inclusive Singaporean arts groups and locals acts at Gardens by the Bay. Listen to the vocal stylings of 18-year-old Adelyn Koh, who was born with Peters Anomaly, a rare eye disease that lets her only make out lights and shadows, or jive to the beats of the award-winning Lion City Pipe Band, one of the region’s leading pipe bands. The Salvation Army band will have two performances at Gardens by the Bay and expect wonderful Christmas songs on the piano and violin by Benjamin and Ting Ying from the Inclusive Arts Movement, which provides entertainment from more than 30 differently and generally abled talent. Lastly, don’t miss out on a very special performance by Singapore Special Voices. Founded by the parents of special needs children, Singapore Special Voices aims to support families, particularly low-income families, by providing zero or low-cost and fun-filled activities via choir, art classes, and other interest groups to improve social interactions, parent-child bonding and more.

This series of Christmas events, pop-ups, and workshops are all focused on sustainability and holistic wellness. It’s a great way to discover unique Christmas traditions, from gift-giving and family dinners to solstice celebrations to religious holidays. In addition to a fun Christmas art class for kids, participants can try their hand at candlemaking and join a solstice meditation blessing for the new year. The holiday pop-ups at this fun Christmas event in Singapore will focus on family celebrations gathered around the table.

STEAM for Christmas? Sign us up! This three-day Christmas event in Singapore may be educational one, but little explorers will have lots of festive fun, too! They’ll be tasked to help Santa deliver Christmas presents around town with the help of the True-True Robot, make their own snow (don’t worry, the ingredients used are all non-toxic and kid-safe!), and build a catapult that’ll launch snowballs on to a special Christmas points board. Each of these fun Christmas activities will teach basic programming concepts and let them learn about science in a creative way.
