Halloween is on the 31st of October so this year it falls on a Thursday, which means many of the Halloween events take place on the weekend before or after it. Get ahead by planning your Jack-o-lantern designs and picking out Halloween costumes (are you in the scary or cute costume camp?). Then, get excited for trick-or-treating, Halloween parties galore and loads of creepy fun at all these Halloween events in Singapore! Singapore Discovery Centre: Mini scare zones, rides & more

The Singapore Discovery Centre turns spooky this month! On 12 October, there will be mini scare areas featuring everything from creepy crawlies and monsters. But that’s not all; older kids will have a blast with FREE unlimited 4D XD Theatre Rides. Be warned, the theme is ‘Lost in Fear’ and it’s going to be scary! The younger ones aren’t left out, though. There’ll be FREE face painting and a best-dressed costume contest where you can win prizes.

From 4 – 13 October, there’s also a drop-in craft activities where you can build your own creepy critter. There’ll also be photo ops for the family and a self-guided spooky trail. Find out more here.

Anchorpoint’s Pumpkin Treat: Pumpkin maze & kids activities

Happening for two weekends only, Anchorpoint’s Pumpkin Treat is a fun way to celebrate Halloween with the kids. They’ve got an adorable Pumpkin Maze and ball pit, all decked out in spooky decor. There’s face-painting for the little ones, and you can even take part in a Halloween face mas workshop. There’ll also be trick-or-treating at participating stores in Anchorpoint. More info here.

Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics

If you and the little ones have an appreciation for music, bring the family for a cultured (and candlelit) night at Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics. Illuminated by the soft glow of candles, this live music showcase will treat your ears with popular tunes such as Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’, the Ghostbuster’s Theme, a Stranger Things mashup and more.

For one night only, SCAPE is transforming into a Halloween wonderland. Come dressed in your best Halloween costume because there’s going to be a competition where the best dressed can win prizes. There’ll be horror stories, live music performances, tarot and palm reading and a werewolf party game. Fuel up on spooky-themed snacks and drinks which are included in your ticket and catch a short horror film while you’re there!

Universal Studios Singapore: Kid-friendly Halloween festivities

There’s plenty happening at Universal Studios Singapore this Halloween season, and the kids are going to have a blast. Keep a lookout for Illumination’s Minion Monsters to snap fun pics, and be sure you don’t miss the Ghoulish Candy Grab ambassadors handing out candy. There’ll also be spooky merch and Halloween-themed food and snacks at the park.

Mindful Space: Spooktacular Halloween Carnival

Parents with young kids, this is a Halloween event for you! Dress your little ones up in their cutest costumes and bring them for a day of messy play and trick-or-treating at Mindful Space. Kids aged 2 to 6 will get two hours of sensory play at a Halloween-themed playground, while kids aged 7 to 15 can put their heads together to break free from an escape room. There’s also a delightful trick-or-treat station with an eyeball beverage and other fun activities.

No stranger to combining a fun game of mini-golf with mystery in the 1920s, Kulnari Mystery Golf is teasing something “haunting” this Halloween season. The 18-hole mini-golf experience is suitable for kids aged 5 and up, for a unique Halloween experience. More info here.

Haw Ror Villa is back for its third instalment, and it’s promising to scare the daylights out of visitors. This year, the spookiness isn’t just contained in Hell’s Museum; it’s taking over the entire park. There’ll be three zones: an escape room at Hell’s Museum, an interactive guided park tour, and a free-to-enter bazaar! We hear there’s even a real coffin you can lie in… yikes!

P.S. This event may be more suitable for adults and teens.

Halloween Horror Nights 2024: Annual event for adults

If you have older kids who love a real scare, make a beeline for the annual Halloween Horror Nights 2024 (not recommended for children under the age of 13). There’ll be four terrifying haunted houses, three sinister scare zones, two live shows and a multi-sensory dining experience. This year, you’ll get to step into the setting of the apocalyptic horror series ‘Sweet Home’ on Netflix and encounter spooky entities from Singapore itself!

Cluny Court’s Halloween Trick-or Treat (FREE!)

Head over to Cluny Court with the kids all dressed up in their favourite Halloween costume for an exciting daytime Trick-or-Treating event in the comfort of the air-conditioned mall! The kids will get to knock on doors of 14 participating stores to collect a basket full of yummy candy. There will also be free face painting to complete the kids’ Halloween look. Plus, snap plenty of photos with the Halloween decorations throughout the mall to remember this spooky Halloween day with the kids.

Slime, Bouncy Castle & Trick or Treat at Marina Square

Marina Square foyer atrium transforms into a spine-tingling destination for families this October with its array of Halloween activities! Brace yourselves for a wickedly good time filled with a free pumpkin bouncy castle for kids to bounce on plus trick-or-treat pop-ups, and a slew of spooktacular photo opportunities. Guests can also score some perks by downloading the Marina Square App, where they can enter the promo codes they find throughout the event to secure themselves $2 iClaw tokens and Halloween-themed balloons. Come donned in your scariest costumes for the Halloween Party on 28 October, where for $25 per child, participants can take part in the Elmer’s Slime Workshop. Be there early, because this workshop is first come, first serve only! Participants will also get to bring home exciting door gifts, fun packs, vouchers and even a McDonald’s sundae!

Haunted Halloween Hymn Concert

The Singapore Symphony Chorus puts on A Haunted Halloween Hymnc concert at the Victoria Concert Hall with the songs of Dan Forrest, Wojciech Kilar, Andrew Lloyd Webber and more this Halloween. Join them and Halloween host, organist Loraine Muthiah, as they raise the spirits of music from beneath the scores.
