Trick or Treat? Halloween is getting spookily close, so here’s where to take the kids for some ghoulsome fun and the best Halloween events
We’ve rounded up all the most ghostly Halloween events happening in town to get kiddos into the spooky spirit – from Spooky Seas and underwater adventures at S.E.A Aquarium to free Halloween carnivals, neighbourhood trick or treating, spooktastic baking, art and craft sessions, and more!
S.E.A. Aquarium Spooky Seas: Meet the Quirky & New Ocean Dreams Sleepover
Get up-close with the aquarium’s latest weird and wonderful animals like the bumphead parrotfish, elephant fish, vampire fish and paddlefish, and learn more about them this Halloween! Activities include a Scavenger Hunt, where kids can learn about the marine species in the aquarium, and even mimic the animals’ unique behaviours at various interactive stations. Make sure you also check out the Ocean Dreams sleepover, mama! Embark on an intimate night-time adventure to discover the strange, nocturnal behaviours of sea dwellers, and observe an eye-opening enrichment session with the manta rays.

Every year on actual Halloween, expect a huge Trick-or-Treat gathering in the neighbourhood of Woodlands Woodgrove! Mamas and kiddos can experience a traditional Halloween fest amongst thousands of families of all ages dressed up and ready to make this Halloween the best yet! This event is privately funded by the generous families living in Woodgrove estate, so if you would like to show your appreciation mama, look out for homes marked with donation signs to support their charity cause or please consider donating candy to any house as a thank you. All cash donations will pay for the needed security requirements and the following year’s Trick or Treat.
Other neighbourhoods known for trick-or-treating: Gentle Drive (Novena), Holland Grove, Taman Nakhoda, and Watten Estate. Best to scour Facebook for details, mama, as some of these will be on the prior Saturday (27 October).

Ancient Civilisations Museum: ACM After Dark 2018
Be spooked by thrilling performances, catch a movie screening, paranormal talks, and fiery activities at ACM’s free family-friendly evening. Hear haunting tales by the river, make a souvenir to bring home and unravel special elements in a spooky trail. Dress in your scary best kiddos, because mystery prizes await the three best-dressed ghostly visitors!

Halloween at Clarke Quay: Tales by the River
From the deep, dark waters of the Singapore River, sea creatures will rise up to haunt visitors at Clarke Quay’s annual Halloween extravaganza! Deploying virtual reality technology for the first time at Clarke Quay; shoot, catch, save the world from zombies and monsters and win prizes as you immerse in real-world interactions. Fun crafts for kids await, plus free airbrush tattooing and performances by local acts.

Dia de Muertos Singapore 2018
Dia de Muertos Singapore is the largest Mexican Day of the Dead celebration in South East Asia. Back for its 4th edition, the event will feature a full day of music, performances, family activities, food and drinks! Programmes include exciting storytelling sessions, Mariachi performances and dance workshops by talents from Mexico and Singapore.

Camp Kido: Halloween Special
Camp Kido is a family-friendly day out for young campers and campers who are young at heart! Explore your wild side with hands-on crafts, go on a whimsical adventure in the Blanket Fort, or make new friends at the street party activities. Hungry campers can also look forward to special Camp Kido platters and mocktails after a long day of exploration and discovery. Suitable for kids ages 5 – 10 years old.

Celebrate Halloween in the East
Get ready for the biggest Halloween extravaganza in the East as White Sands, Century Square and Tampines 1 will be running a series of spooktacular activities to delight the whole fam! Look out for craft workshops at White Sands, chilling makeovers and a rooftop horror maze at Tampines 1, and wickedly good Halloween baking classes and a costume contest at Century Square, mama!

Singapore’s largest and most iconic Halloween event returns for the eighth edition bringing Infinite Fear to all! Featuring five terrifying haunted houses (including the highly-anticipated Stranger Things haunted house), three killer live shows and two scare zones, Halloween Horror Nights 8 at Resorts World Sentosa is set to be bigger and scarier than ever. Admission for 13 years old and up.

The Party Elves Halloween Eve of Shrieks

Join in for pumpkin crafts, ghostly games and fresh pumpkin decorating. All activities are suitable for children between 3 and 10 years old. Watch as the entire City will be transformed into an abandoned town – SpookyTown! It’s been years since a mysterious explosion caused by the town’s famous alchemist, Dr. SpookZ, happened at the town’s annual carnival. After the explosion, most of the town citizens have disappeared, except for SpookyTown’s Mayor Fabiola. To uncover the truth of the town citizens’ disappearance, Mayor Fabiola is recruiting brave souls to help solve the mystery of The Lost Carnival, to bring the lost citizens back, and restore fun, peace and happiness to SpookyTown. Brave kiddos can take part in carnival games, scale the Height of Fright by completing various obstacles above the city streets and enjoy balloon sculptures in the Safe Zone!

Halloween Town – Yokai Festival
In popular Japanese folklore exists a class of supernatural beings known as Yokai. Usually undetectable in the human realm, Yokai take center stage this Halloween at Downtown East! Need a costume ASAP? There’ll be a dedicated 2-day event to help costume-less Halloween partygoers gear up at the Last Minute Costume Fair on 20 and 21 October, offering a selection of attention-grabbing costumes. Other highlights include the Hyakki Yagyo (a parade of creatures, monsters, and spirits) and Yokai vs. Humans, a game of shooting darts with monsters at Wild Wild Wet. Kick back for a more laidback Halloween and Outdoor Movie Screening on 27 October.

Zombie Attack: Join The Resistance, Slay the Zombies and Find The Cure!
An unauthorised experiment has led to a virus outbreak. All the lab workers are now infected with the virus turning them into zombies, and causing a zombie attack on Orchard Road. Investigate, contain the virus and recover the anti-toxin! At this event, cadets can form a team of four and navigate through various zones and challenges to help contain the virus and find the anti-toxin cure. Through the obstacles, zombies will be hot on your heels, so be sure to slay them through a game of laser tag and solve the puzzles in the escape room. Children under 13 must be accompanied by someone at least 18 years of age.
