NEW Senior School & Expansion Plans Announced At Tanglin Trust School (+ Admissions Events)

Major expansion plans are underway at Tanglin Trust School, including a new Senior School building, enhanced learning facilities, and more campus developments!

Did you know that Tanglin Trust School has over 100 years of educational history?! Established in 1925, the campus has served generations of students for more than 50 years, providing children aged 3 to 18 in Singapore with the English National Curriculum from an international perspective. With the new lease extension secured until 2056, Tanglin proves there’s still plenty more in store at this international school. The school has been granted a lease on an additional 0.5-hectare plot of land adjoining its current site, allowing it to increase its campus footprint by 11%! The school has announced a long-term master plan that will add new learning spaces, upgraded facilities, and more, including a brand-new Senior School building as part of the plan’s first major phase.

A new Senior School building designed for future-ready students

First up on Tanglin’s expansion plans is a brand-new Senior School, with construction set to begin in 2027 and completion expected by August 2030. As the first stage of the school’s master plan, the new building will support Tanglin’s focus on preparing future-ready students who are inspired, resilient and ready for an ever-changing world. For students, this means enhanced provision in Science, Technology, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Economics and Mathematics, alongside continued opportunities across the Arts, Humanities, Languages, Sport and co-curricular life.

The new Senior School will be the largest building on campus, and the expansion will also create opportunities to welcome additional students. The school community is also playing a part in shaping the new space, where staff, parents, students, alumni, Governors and other key stakeholders will contribute as part of the consultation process as the design develops.

More campus developments in the works

The expansion plans don’t stop at the new Senior School! Tanglin has more developments planned through to 2038, including upgrades to existing buildings, renovations, repurposed facilities and a new sports centre and an Early Years Centre. Current and prospective Tanglin families have lots to look forward to as the campus enters this new chapter.
