Movie theatres re-open 13th July 2020! Check out these promotions where you can score free cinema tickets or tickets at a big discount!
Did someone say ‘free cinema tickets’? Yup! Shaw, Cathay and WE Cinemas all have special promotions on where the kids can watch the latest movies on the big screen for free! Golden Village has suspended their free kids tickets promo but instead have a movie pass where four tickets cost $25. Plus we round up how to score discounted tickets and one-for-one tickets too!
If you’ve been missing the movies after such a long absence during the circuit breaker, make sure you book online as there are limits on cinema capacity and number of bookings. To ensure safe social distancing practices there will be alternate seating to ensure 1 metre distancing. You’ll also need to wear a face mask (except when eating or drinking), and the usual safe entry and temperature screening will be in place.
So if you’re looking to save some extra cash, know that cinema tickets are always cheaper in the week (tickets are around $9 depending on the cinema) compared to around $13 on the weekend. For how to score one-for-one deals and other cinema promos swipe through our gallery!

One of our fave independent theatres, The Projector has a Membership deal at $60 (good for 18 months!) that includes four free tickets plus $2 off every regular ticket. It may not be the most comfortable seating for kids so save this one for that adults-only date. The Projector re-opens on the 15th July 2020 with safety measures in place for social distancing.
