If you haven’t been to East Coast Park, this is one of our favourite parks with something for everyone! East Coast Park offers plenty of recreation from cycling (Gocycling East Coast Park is a fave spot to rent bikes) to water sports and wakeboarding, and with numerous playgrounds not to mention East Coast beach, one of Singapore’s best beaches, there’s enough to do for a full family day out! East Coast Park Beach
East Coast Park beach is one of the best beaches in Singapore so it’s no wonder that families flock here. There’s lots of space for fun sandcastle-making and the water is generally safe for water play and swimming along the shore.
Marine Cove Playground at East Coast Park


The massive, 3,500m2 Marine Cove playground is zoned into two separate areas for littles (aged 2 to 5) and bigger kids (5 to 12). Read our full review of East Coast Park’s Marine Cove playground here.
Tip: make sure you go there in the early morning or late afternoon, as this outdoor playground is not covered.


Also a heads up – it’s right next to McDonald’s, so you may get a request for some french fries or a hot fudge sundae after a whole day of play.
Coastal PlayGrove Playground

Coastal PlayGrove boasts the tallest outdoor play feature in town! This outdoor playground has a water play area, climbing activities, long metallic tube slides, and a nature play garden with sandpits and teepees to enjoy. Click here for our guide to Coast PlayGrove!

East Coast Park Cycling & Bike Rental
East Coast Park is perfect for cycling, but the highlight has to be the 5.4-hectare East Coast Cyclist Park, which is super fun for all cycling skill levels, from little ones with training wheels all the way up to cycling pros.


In addition to the challenging cycling paths, the Cyclist Park also features a lovely nature play garden complete with a mini obstacle course — perfect for keeping little ones occupied even if they’re too small to ride a bike.


If you don’t have your own bicycle, there are plenty of bicycle rental options at East Coast Park. Choose from a variety of kids’ bikes, regular bikes, mountain bikes, tandem bikes, family bikes and even rollerblades from any of the bike rental shops below.
Coastline Leisure: Bike Rental in East Coast Park
Coastline Leisure is one of the most popular places to go for bike rentals at East Coast Park. They offer a wide range of bicycles regardless of your age or skill and even provide installation services, bike replacement parts, repair services and maintenance.

GoCycling: Bike Rental in East Coast Park


GoCycling has 13 outlets islandwide, and East Coast Park is one of them! The best part about GoCycling is that you can rent and return your bikes at any GoCycling outlet islandwide rather than cycling back to the original GoCycling outlet where you started. So, if you get tired after reaching your destination, simply search for the nearest GoCyling bike rental shop, and you’re all set.

Pop by Khcycle ECP for a wide range of bicycles and bike servicing. Not only do they offer bike rentals, but they also sell any kind of bicycle accessories or apparel you may need.
Our Family Corner: Bike Rental in East Coast Park
Looking for tandem or double bikes? Our Family Corner has just what you need for a fun day of cycling with the kids. You can even rent a bike with a baby seat for $6 per hour.
Road Safety Park within East Coast Park


The Road Safety Community Park is free and open to the public and has been around since the 1950s. It’s currently almost abandoned and very much unloved but still okay to cycle in the last time we checked – with circuits for cycling or rollerblading. NB: The Road Safety Community Park will be partially closed for repair works until 17 July 2023.
Rollerblading & Skating: East Coast Xtreme Skatepark


If you have an in-line skating or skateboarding kiddo at home, chances are the Xtreme Skatepark at East Coast Park — located near Car Park F1 — is their big-kid playground.


But head over there and you’ll see that even little kids look like pros at the skate park, whether on skateboards, balance bikes or rollerblades! Many of the shops listed above also provide rollerblade rentals; you can also check out Inline Culture (Carpark C3).
NB: Both skating bowls at Area F1, Xtreme SkatePark, will be closed for repair works till end-Dec 2023. The skating circuit remains open.
East Coast Park: Water Sports


Being on the coast, water sports are a natural part of family-friendly East Coast Park. On windy days kids and adults alike can take sailing lessons at one of the sailing clubs dotted along the park, or try wakeboarding to enjoy the water while getting a workout!
Aloha Sea Sports Centre


From windsurfing and windfoiling to stand-up paddleboarding and laser sailing, Aloha Sea Sports Centre has all of the equipment you need to have a good time! Catch the wind in your sails and get your heart pumping with these water sports.
Constant Wind Sea Sports and Sailing School


Fancy a different type of workout? Hit the seas with Constant Wind and choose from more than 1,800 sailing courses to master this sea sport. If sailing is not your thing, you can also try windsurfing or paddleboarding.
Singapore Wake Park


Looking for a safe place to go wakeboarding? Try wakeboarding in a small lagoon at Singapore Wake Park, which makes it safe for beginners and experienced riders. The Sassy Mama team had fun wakeboarding at the Singapore Wake Park, where kids as young as 4 are able to join in the fun.
East Coast Park Dog Run

The East Coast Park dog run within Parkland Green is the largest one in the East. Find it right next to the underpass, making it easy to access. There are plenty of pet-friendly amenities, and your furry friend will love the large green space!

Dinosaurs at Jurassic Mile


Check out the 3.5km cycling and jogging path that links Changi Airport to East Coast Park! The Changi Airport Connector is home to the Changi Jurassic Mile, Singapore’s newest and largest permanent outdoor display of life-sized dinosaurs. Kiddos will love spotting over 20 pre-historic creatures, from a towering Tyrannosaurus Rex to gigantic dinosaur eggs. Start your journey from East Coast Park via the Changi Coastal Park Connector. If you’re coming from Changi Airport, consider getting bikes from bike rental shops like GoCycling’s newest outlet at Hub & Spoke Changi Airport and return them at any of the seven other GoCycling outlets around Singapore.

Fans of East Coast Park fondly remember the red-bricked chalets at East Coast Park. Unfortunately, the East Coast Park Chalets have been demolished, and the space has been repurposed for a cyclist park (get all the deets above!). East Coast Park Food: Restaurants & Cafes
There’s no shortage of F&B at East Coast Park, whether you’re after some brunch, affordable hawker-style food or seafood. Some East Coast Park cafes are open till late or even 24 hours! There are also lots of drink stalls offering thirst-quenching fresh coconuts – perfect for the hot and humid East Coast Park weather. Most vendors begin opening at about 4pm, and by 6pm the crowd starts coming in to secure tables for dinner.

PS. Cafe by the Sea offers a bright space to enjoy your meal overlooking the lush greenery of East Coast Park. This kid-friendly restaurant serves PS classics like juicy burgers and satisfying pastas and even has adorable colouring placemats for the little ones!

We love this spacious light-filled cafe in Marine Cove with a large kids’ play corner! There’s also great alfresco seating and a sprawling grass patch right next to it. East Coast Commune offers delicious coffee, brunch options, cold pressed juices and yummy pastries. East Coast Park Map

How to Get to East Coast Park
Getting to East Coast Park by MRT: Take the MRT to Marine Parade (Thomson-East Coast Line). East Coast Park is a 400-metre walk from Marine Parade station.
Getting to East Coast Park by car: East Coast Park is accessible via the East Coast Parkway (ECP) and East Coast Service Road. The park stretches over 15 kilometres from Mountbatten to Bedok and encompasses multiple highway exits and about 10 car parks in total. So be sure to know where you’re heading and try to figure out the nearest car park. For closure info on East Coast car parks check here.
Getting to East Coast Park by taxi: There are plenty of car parks along the park where you can be dropped off. Decide which part of the park you’d like to visit and it should be relatively easy to find a nearby drop-off point on the map.
Getting to East Coast Park by public transport: Thanks to Singapore’s pretty connected transportation, there are plenty of buses that go to East Coast Park. Take any of these buses to East Coast Park: 10, 134, 15, 150, 16, 36, 43, and 48
