Looking for a great outdoor dog cafe in Singapore? Our resident fur parents round up their paw-ferred pet-friendly cafes and restaurants all over the island!
You know we’re huge fans of outdoor dining here at Sassy Mama, and among the many reasons is because many happen to be super pet-friendly! Those of us with fur babies are always on the lookout for the next great dog cafe — team member Kristin (mama to Dodger the Labradoodle) is a paw-ticular connoisseur of the island’s most dog-friendly cafés and restaurants.

My pup loves the Botanic Gardens for an early morning or late afternoon stroll and sometimes a bite to eat. If you don’t have a car and your pup doesn’t have the stamina to make it from one end of the park to the other you can always call a Grab Pet to go home at the halfway mark around the Visitor Centre or the Learning Forest access points.
Note: While most of the Botanic Gardens are dog friendly there are a few areas where they are not allowed including the National Orchid Garden and Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden. For the full list visit: www.nparks.gov.sg/sbg/visit-us
Bee’s Knees Botanic Gardens looks like the ultimate dog cafe judging by its clientele! This garden café is perfect spot to enjoy a laid back meal in the Botanic Gardens with your dog. We love to end up here for breakfast either at the start or end of our walk.
Bee’s Knees Botanic Gardens, 50 Cluny Park Rd, Level 1 Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore 257488, www.thegarage.sg/bees-knees
Another dog cafe popular with dog walkers and families. While you can’t bring your furry friends to the cash register area to order they are more than welcome to sit outside with you while you enjoy your coffee or food. The menu has everything from local delights, western breakfast to pizza. There are even water bowls along the back wall outside for pups.
Casa Verde Botanic Gardens, 1 Cluny Rd, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore 259569, www.casaverde.com.sg
Not advertised as being “pet-friendly” but we have on a number of occasions enjoyed sitting outside with our dog while we grab a bite to eat.
Da Paolo Gastronomia @ Cluny Court, 501 #01-01 Bukit Timah Rd, Cluny Court, Singapore 259760, www.dapaolo.com.sg
I have an addiction to Plain Vanilla’s salted caramel cupcakes and generally will use any sort of physical activity (like a walk in the Botanics) as an excuse to justify eating one. Plain Vanilla Bakery is tiny inside but there is a place for you to tie up your dog directly outside of the shop so you can keep an eye on them while picking up treats for yourself to go!
Plain Vanilla Bakery @ Cluny Court, 501 Bukit Timah Road #01-03A, Cluny Court, Singapore 259760, plainvanilla.com.sg
W39 Bistro & Bakery
This dog/cat friendly cafe in the West has great coffee, good food, friendly service and a free biscuit for your fur baby! Fans and water bowls outside keep your pets cool and happy. Reader recommended!
W39 Bistro & Bakery, 39 Jalan Mas Puteh Clementi, Singapore 128637, www.facebook.com/W39Bistro/
Are you gluten-free and a pet lover? Then this is the spot for you! Make a reservation for their outside seating and bring your fur friend. They don’t advertise themselves as being pet-friendly but when I asked our server about it during dinner he said they do allow pets outside. Call in advance to avoid disappointment.
The Butcher’s Wife, 19 Yong Siak St, Singapore 168650, www.thebutcherswifesg.com
This outlet of Merci Marcel has a few outside tables and as a result allows you to bring along your furry friends! They will even bring out water bowls for the dogs. Pre-pandemic it was fairly easy to get a table outside but with social distancing between tables, I recommend making a reservation in advance.

Craving croissants and coffee? Tiong Bahru Bakery is the perfect spot to indulge in a lazy morning with your dog in this charming neighborhood.

Plus be sure to check out Tiong Bahru Park (82 Tiong Poh Road)!
This outlet of Plain Vanilla has more to offer than just delicious baked goods. They have a full menu offering breakfast, brunch, and lunch items plus outside seating making it pet-friendly!

This is a great spot for both the kids and the pups. With an awesome playground for the kids to run free and plenty of outside seating that your dog can enjoy. Read more about it in our kid-friendly restaurant guide.
Baker & Cook Dempsey, 30C Loewen Rd, Singapore 248839, www.bakerandcook.biz/blogs/locations/core-collective-dempsey
So good it’s in our guides for both Dempsey dining and Robertson Quay. With lots of outdoor seating and healthy bites the whole family can enjoy, Carrotsticks & Cravings is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with your dog.

Jones the Grocer Dempsey Hill was the first restaurant we took our dog to when she was just a puppy. They have lots of outdoor seating along the patio and we always seem to run into another dog or two when we visit.

Looking for a fancier meal with your pupper? We always enjoy dining on the patio at this urban farm and restaurant with our dog. Plus there is a playground on site (currently closed due to covid) and plenty of green space for the kids to run free. Be sure to make a reservation!

Also in Dempsey for pets:
Singpet Pet store: Dempsey is home to Singapore’s largest pet store at 8D Dempsey Rd, #01-01. You can take your furry friend inside to shop but do note that pets must wear a diaper.
The Wagington Luxury Pet Hotel & Spa: Whether you are looking for a place to take your dog swimming, get your pet groomed, need daycare or a hotel for your pet while you’re on vacation The Wagington (27B Loewen Rd) has it all. I loved being able to check-in on my dog via webcam when she went for daycare sessions. My dog also loves to swim and had a particularly good time in their bone shaped pool. They also take cats too!
While I haven’t actually brought my dog to eat here its very dog-friendly. We pass Brewekz on our daily walk and my dog has now learned that there is usually a dog there to say hi to and slows down to the speed of a turtle looking for puppy friends eating at the restaurant. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a cold one with your dog this spot is for you!
Brewerkz Orchard, #01-02 Orchard Rendezvous Hotel, 1 Tanglin Rd, Singapore 247905, brewerkz.com
We used to love heading down and sitting outside Jewel Coffee to enjoy a light breakfast with our dog. It is the perfect people-watching spot on a weekend morning watching the people emerge from Orchard Towers who are just finishing their night. Unfortunately during Phase 2 their outdoor seating is tied up but hopefully they will bring it back soon.
Jewel Coffee @ Claymore Connect, 442 Orchard Rd, #01-01 Claymore Connect Mall, Singapore 238879, jewelcoffee.com/our-outlets
Looking for a great spot with your dog in the Orchard area? Look no further than Nassim Hill Bakery! We love going here for brunch but they also serve lunch and dinner too. Be sure to make a reservation for their outside seating as spots fill up fast!
Nassim Hill Bakery, 56 Tanglin Rd, #01-03, Singapore 247964, nassimhill.com.sg
Robertson Quay is a great location for dog walking and you might spot otters here too. If you are with your pup make sure you maintain a safe distance from the otters and if your dog is a bit on the aggressive side perhaps avoid stopping altogether. Many of the restaurants in Robertson Quay are pet-friendly thanks to their outdoor space. Our faves are:
Looking to catch the latest sporting match with your furry friend or just enjoy some Australian cuisine then you will love this place. They have lots of outside seating and are very pet-friendly.
Boomarang, 60 Robertson Quay, #01-15 The Quayside, Singapore 238252, www.boomarang.com.sg
We love heading here for a healthy bite. Think smoothie bowls, avocado toast, overnight oats and more! All of the seating is outside making it perfect for dogs. During non-Covid times they used to have little cars for the kids to scoot around in too.
Carrotsticks & Cravings, 7 Rodyk St, #01-34, Singapore 238215, carrotsticksandcravings.com
This is the perfect spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee with man’s best friend. Dogs are allowed in their outside seating area.
Common Man, 22 Martin Road, Singapore 239058, www.commonmancoffeeroasters.com
Dog and kid-friendly, this place always has a crowd. We love their avocado toast and banana smoothies.
Kith Cafe, Rodyk Street, Robertson Quay, #01-28, Singapore 238215, kith.com.sg
A great staple café to enjoy a meal. They allow pets outside on their patio area.

My dog loves the beach and goes absolutely nuts every time we take her to Sentosa. We love taking her to these beach clubs – just make sure to book a reservation in advance:

In the mood for Spanish tapas with a beach club vibe? Your pup is sure to love FOC Sentosa. We sure love their Iberico Ham Croquettes and FOC Patatas Bravas. Plus FOC Sentosa is also great for kids. Note: dogs are only allowed in the sand area; they are not permitted on the deck, near (or in) the pool, or inside the restaurant.

Tanjong Beach is super popular with dog owners. On any given day of the week you are bound to run into lots of dogs to socialize your pup with (although mine only has eyes for the ocean). Tanjong Beach also has a convenient rinsing station to clean your pup off after they have had their fun so you don’t take home tons of sand with you. The Beach Club itself is great for a relaxing morning or if you are looking for a bit of a party scene visit in the afternoon.

All the restaurants at Quayside Isle
We also enjoy walking around the Quayside Isle area with our dog. Pretty much all the restaurants in the area are dog friendly and are great any time of the day. We usually start off with a stroll or playing fetch in the big grassy field next to Quayside Isle to burn off some energy before sitting down for a meal.
