The Alaska Guys
We’re kind of nerds about sustainable seafood, and this awesome seafood shop is one of the only places we know in Singapore where you can get yourself wild-caught salmon (for more about the benefits of wild vs. farmed salmon, click here). The shop is actually run by some former Alaskan fishermen (just like the guys on The Deadliest Catch!); you can also nab yourself fabulous King Crab, Cod, Halibut, Shrimp and other regional products.
$20 delivery fee applies for orders below $200. Delivery is available Monday through Saturday.
The Alaska Guys, 201 Telok Kurau Road #01-05 Kurau Court, 423910, www.thealaskaguys.com
This is the newest player on the online grocery scene, having only launched in late July 2017, but it’s a biggie. You get free same-day 2-hour grocery delivery with a $40 spend, prices are competitive, and there’s a wide selection of non-grocery items like toys, homewares and school supplies. On the downside you can only order via phone app, the grocery selection is a bit limited (though improving), and the overall inventory still pales in comparison to what you’d find on the real Amazon. NB: In October 2019 Amazon.sg launched, offering an expanded online grocery shopping selection with free next-day delivery in Singapore and a huge range of products available for free delivery from the U.S. (including some of our favorite baby and cleaning brands that haven’t previously been available in Singapore!).
Avo & Co.
Avo & Co. prepares and delivers weekly fruit & veggie boxes (some organic and locally grown), full of the latest in-season produce bound to wow you. They also have a fab list of add-ons, like a variety of meat, growth hormone and antibiotics free chicken & barn eggs and cheeses from local suppliers! Boxes come with recipe cards for items that may be new to you, like French artichokes or zucchini flowers – so you’ll know exactly how to prepare them. Upon sign up, you’ll have the ability to pause your deliveries anytime for when you’re traveling or still finishing last week’s produce. No wastage! You’ll be happy to know they deliver everywhere on the island, from Sentosa to East Coast. Ice packs are in chiller bags to keep vegetables fresh, and when you’re not around when delivery is done, the bags are left at your doorstep.
Best Organic Food
One of Singapore’s leading growers and distributors of organically grown produce, you only need to order $50 worth of produce to qualify for free delivery (otherwise it costs 8 bucks). With 60 different varieties of organic fruits and vegetables to choose from, this is a family-run business with a super friendly owner (we’ve ordered before and were very happy with the customer service!). You can also pick and choose which produce you’d like so you don’t end up with any random disliked vegetable in your order.
$20 minimum order required. Free delivery for orders over $50! Orders less than $50 incur an $8 delivery fee.

Did you know there was a real live cow farm in Singapore? And it’s the only place that offers 100% Pasteurised fresh milk free of preservatives, additives and permeates. Ordering from Singapore’s very own organic farm makes it feel like you’re ordering from your own local farmer! Growing mostly Asian greens, fruits and herbs, we also love their condiments and imported spreads and grains, all really inexpensive and a convenient way to get wholesome, organic food into the family diet. You can also show your littlies how their food is grown by bringing them down to the farm for a fun family day out (it’s best to call ahead to organise a time). Minimum order from $30, with and $8 delivery fee; deliveries are on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

RedMart was already one of Singapore’s biggest online grocery stores… then it merged with online shopping giant Lazada. In other words, you can get almost anything from these guys with their handy app. RedMart makes it easy to order fresh produce and meat, a supply of laundry detergent, cleaning products, toilet paper and nappies, a case of beer… and have it all delivered straight to your door. We particularly love the feature where you can add items to your order even after it’s been placed just in case you forgot something. There is free delivery on orders over $60 (only $40 if you’re a LiveUp member); otherwise it costs $5.99, usually with next-day availability.

These folks pride themselves on delivering high quality organic produce that is carefully sourced from Australian suppliers and delivered fresh to your door. Here you’ll find a great selection of super fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as other pantry staples like cereals, flours, tea and coffee and oils. If you want to add a splash of excitement to the weekly shop, order one of their fruit and veg boxes – whilst you generally can’t select everything that will be included (that’s the excitement mama!) you can request for certain disliked veg to be left out. We’ve ordered a box before and had to say we were most impressed with their huge head of kale – we might even go so far as to say it’s the best kale in Singapore!
SG Organic, 315 Outram Road, Tan Boon Liat Building #14-02, Singapore 169074, www.sgorganic.sg

If your family loves snacking on fruit, you’ll definitely want to check out this shop that specialises in fresh, in-season and handpicked fruits. Whilst many kids frown at their greens, fruit can be an easy way to get nutrients into them (it’s the sweet flavour that they really love). Try making your own green shakes at home by blending together fruit with a bit of spinach (we love their handy juicing boxes). Tangy Tangerines also stocks grocery and pantry essentials like milk, bread and pasta, along with plant-based meats. When you spend $100 or more you’ll also get free delivery!
