New viewing tower: SkyHelix Sentosa opens 15 December

Singapore’s highest open-air panoramic ride will open on 15 December, and it’s the first ‘green’ attraction on Sentosa! The SkyHelix Sentosa is a carbon-neutral gondola ride that’ll give you breathtaking 360° views of Sentosa and the surrounds as it gently rotates 35m above ground. Your feet will dangle in mid-air while you enjoy a cool drink in hand! The ride’s apex is 79m above sea level, making it one of the highest vantage points on Sentosa. Tickets for SkyHelix Sentosa are now available for purchase on Mount Faber Leisure’s website, and each ticket includes a standard non-alcoholic beverage or an exclusive SkyHelix Sentosa souvenir.

Look out for Singapore’s first hot air balloon ride!

The first hot air balloon in Singapore is set to take off in Singapore soon! While it won’t quite be like the hot air balloon rides in Cappadocia or the Serengeti, the hot air balloon ride by Ballons du Monde will still float high above (although it looks like they will be tethered) affording great views of the iconic Singapore skyline. There’s been hot air balloon testing at Bayfront Events Space and also at Sentosa although no information is out yet on exactly where this experience will lift off and how much it will cost. The official date for takeoff hasn’t been released yet, so watch this space!

Kaws:Holiday tour in Singapore

Modern art fans, rejoice! A giant sculpture by famous American artist Kaws will be displayed at The Float @ Marina Bay from 13 – 21 November (opens to the public from 14 November). It’s a 42m-long inflatable artwork (not for jumping though!) of the signature Companion character lying down while hugging a smaller version of itself. This is Kaws:Holiday tour’s seventh stop, after having been to Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Japan and UK since 2018. At the moment it doesn’t look like you’ll need tickets to check out the installation, but keep your eyes peeled for more info!

Eternals Superhero Movie in Cinemas
