Christmas is in the air at Resorts World Sentosa as Universal Studios Singapore’s A Universal Christmas holiday event is back with a huge bang from now until 2 January 2023! This year’s edition promises all sorts of exciting opportunities for little ones to meet their favourite characters, catch a thrilling circus experience with Unicycle Elf and Illumination’s Minions, get a cute Christmas pic with Elmo and Big Bird from Sesame Street, say hi to Santa and his entourage, check out all the holiday lights and experience ‘snowfall’! Here’s what’s happening at A Universal Christmas this holiday season:

1. Santa’s Circus Extravaganza

Universal Studios Singapore’s largest Christmas parade is making a big comeback after a two-year hiatus! This year, the New York zone at Universal Studios will be abuzz with floats, an eclectic ensemble of 42 performers and loads of magical moments. Led by Ringmaster Santa, the performers will put on an epic performance to remember alongside Illumination’s Minions, DreamWorks Animation’s Po, Tigress, Poppy, Branch and Guy Diamond plus more.

Got a family who can’t get enough of the Minions? They’ll love this circus spectacular that takes place right after the Christmas parade, where the Minions will have a special skipping rope act that promises loads of fun! They’ll be joined by several circus acts with thrilling performances as well as a cube manipulator who will dazzle you with his exciting tricks. Jack Frost has plenty in store too, as he’ll be gearing up to sing and dance with his frosty friends. Keep your phones at the ready to capture the magnificent snowfall at the end of the show.

2. Roaming Festive Circus Acts

Don’t miss your chance to meet Santa’s Superstars of the Circus as various performers, including Unicyclist Elf, Peppermint Plate Spinner and the stilt-walking Toy Soldier showcase their acts throughout the day. This is your chance to get up close to the action!
When: Selected timings from 11.15am to 4.30pm daily

Get a big dose of feel-good cheer with Santa, his Snowgirls and a few silly Snowmen! Make some Christmas memories at this jolly meet and greet where you’ll get to snap cute holiday photos with the man in red. The highlight for the kiddos will of course be the snowfall!

4. Holiday Meet and Greets

Smile, pose and snap selfies with popular stars such as Illumination’s Minions, DreamWorks Animation’s Poppy, Branch and Guy Diamond from Trolls! They’ll all be dressed in their festive best and waiting at Instagrammable booths. You’ll also get to take pics with Po and Tigress from Kung Fu Panda, DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Princess Fiona, Alex and Gloria from Madagascar and many more.

Gingy’s Sweet Meet and Greet
Gingy, one of the stars of DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek is ready to make kids giggle – look out for him as he tells jokes and banters with the crowd!
When: 11.30am, 1pm, 2.45pm, 4.15pm & 6.15pm daily

5. Sing along with Santa’s Starlets

Love singing Christmas carols and other holiday tunes? Join in with the fun at Mel’s Diner, where Santa’s Starlets will set the stage ablaze as they compete to be Santa’s next big star. Expect other stunning performances such as Polly the Polar Bear Princess’ daring dancing, Ruby’s Christmas ribbon manipulation and Farrah’s breathtaking festive flames.
When: 12.25pm, 2.10pm, 4pm, 5.35pm daily

6. Challenge yourself to a carnival game or two

Look out for three different carnival challenges at the ‘Jolly Booths’ – knock down blocks at Blockbuster, win a round of Rebound or play a special version of Basketball to win attractive prizes!*
