Planning New Year’s Eve dinner, lunch, or brunch in Singapore? We’ve rounded up some of the island’s best spots to usher in 2021!
While the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown is typically the highlight of New Year’s Eve in Singapore, the festivities will be a little muted this year, thanks to a certain pandemic that shall not be named. Instead of the usual popular fireworks display, there will be light shows and smaller fireworks display in selected heartland areas (which you can watch on TV should you choose to stay home). But even if there won’t be a spectacular show to ring in a brand new year, you can still sit down to a splendid New Year’s Eve dinner or New Year’s Day lunch with the fam. Here’s where to go for caviar, Champagne brunches, and all the works – in fact, many of these dining spots are perfectly kid-friendly, too!
The many restaurants at the Pan Pacific Singapore have prepared their own New Year’s Eve dinner offerings and each one is set to impress. From alfresco dining at the Poolside Bar, to Edge’s gastronomic spread that’s all about Boston Lobsters, and Brick Oven Roasted US Beef Prime Ribs with Herb Butter. Edge will be hosting New Year’s Eve Dinner as well as lunch and dinner on New Year’s Day. For dinner with a view, head to the Pan Pacific Singapore’s Atrium pods and choose between three premium dining experiences. The Premium Canape Meal Package promises international delicacies such as Lobster Medallion, Miso-marinated Cod Fish and Mini Wagyu Beef Burger, while carnivores will delight in Atrium’s Premium Gourmet Meats Meal. Atrium also has a New Year’s Eve dinner menu with cold and hot savoury bites and a selection of decadent desserts.
For Japanese there’s Keyaki’s specially curated eight-course New Year set menu that includes Toro Sashimi, and Grilled Lobster with Spicy Cod Roe. Or celebrate New Year’s Eve at the award-winning Hai Tien Lo, with their range of classic Cantonese must-haves like Barbecued Suckling Pig stuffed with Glutinous Rice and Wild Mushrooms and Truffles or their New Year Dim Sum buffets, which comes with more than 50 types of classic and contemporary dim sum dishes.
