1. The Big Festive Buffet at Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Singapore

The Big Festive Buffet is back this Christmas. It runs for dinner on Christmas Eve, then brunch and dinner on Christmas Day. LUCE, The Lobby Lounge and Man Fu Yuan are joining forces in the kitchen. That adds up to nearly 200 dishes across the hotel’s first floor, from seafood on ice and cheeses to carving stations and Italian plates. LUCE also has buffets on from November all the way to New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving included. 2. Festive afternoon tea & Christmas brunch at Goodwood Park Hotel

All through December, L’Espresso is running a Festive English Afternoon Tea Buffet, with carving stations added to the spread. Christmas Day is when things get bigger. L’Espresso and Gordon Grill join up for one big brunch buffet, and you’re free to wander between the two. There’s roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, US prime rib eye, oysters, lobsters and a chocolate fountain to work through. Carollers also drop by the lobby on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Over at Coffee Lounge, there are comforting local favourites and the signature Taiwan Porridge Set Menu. 3. Family festive buffet at Pan Pacific Singapore

Edge’s Christmas buffet is an easy pick for a big family meal. The roast turkey and maple and bourbon-glazed gammon ham are the main draws, with plenty of seasonal dishes around them. With seven open kitchens, you can watch the chefs cooking while you load up your plate. On selected dates, extra live stations serve up charcoal-grilled octopus and pan-seared foie gras on cornbread. We’d suggest saving some room for dessert, though. The rum-soaked fruit cake, toffee mint tartlets and chocolate log cake are hard to skip.

4. European market feast at Marché Singapore

Marché is kicking off the season early with The Joy Before The Holidays, a celebration of all the get-togethers leading up to Christmas. The European-style marketplace is buzzing with live cooking stations and freshly made dishes. Seasonal picks include pan-seared cod with clams, whole lobster, gammon ham and pomegranate pizza, and rösti with red wine beef stew. Over at the rotisserie, the roasts change daily, from prime rib to crispy pork belly. The kids can play at the playground while you finish dessert. 5. Christmas brunch with a local spin at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore

If you’re planning a festive meal out, 15 Stamford is worth a look this year. The Christmas Day brunch features oysters, Boston lobster and sashimi, alongside a carving station offering roast turkey, gammon ham and Angus beef tomahawk. 6. Italian-style Christmas at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport

Allora at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport is doing Christmas the Italian way this year. For Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch, the buffet kicks off at a seafood bar piled with lobster, oysters, crab legs and scallops. From there, you can work your way through live pasta and risotto stations, a BBQ pit, a carving station with turkey and whole roast baby lamb, and Allora’s 1-metre pizza. 7. Riverside festive feasts at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore

Food Capital’s Yuletide Feast buffet kicks off in early November, with roast turkey, slow-roasted beef striploin, roasted leg of lamb and fresh seafood on ice. 8. Festive afternoon tea at Grand Hyatt Singapore

All through December, 10|SCOTTS is doing a festive version of its afternoon tea. On weekdays, it’s a set served to your table, with turkey cranberry sandwiches and chicken vol-au-vents. Weekends switch to a semi-buffet with a salad bar, cheeses, charcuterie and hot dishes like confit salmon. Either way, the highlight is the festive dessert stand by Pastry Chef Kelly Cheah. Save room for the chestnut Mont Blanc, raspberry pistachio roll and Japanese strawberry tart. 10. Christmas set menus at Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore

Lawry’s has two six-course set menus this year, one for Christmas Eve and one for Christmas Day, and both run all day. The signature roast prime rib is on both. On Christmas Eve, you can also pick prime striploin, kataifi-wrapped lobster tail or herb-crusted rack of lamb, and turkey fans can add on a heritage turkey roulade.
