New Bahru by The Lo & Behold Group is one of the hottest lifestyle enclave openings of the year! This destination spot at the former Herencia (which used to be Nan Chiau High School), celebrates homegrown brands — from restaurants to retail, wellness, entertainment, education, arts, and culture to a serviced apartment concept. There is an outdoor playground with a huge slide, trampoline and swings. While the outdoor playground is still under construction and is not yet open, you can head inside for Kiztopia Prestige (indoor playspace for toddlers and preschoolers) plus over 13 F&B spots including Middle Eastern Artichoke (opening in June) and Sri Lankan restaurant Kotuwa by award-winning chef Rishi Naleendra (both relocating here from their original locations); new outlets of The Coconut Club; cult burger restaurant One Fattened Calf; Mexican eatery Huevos and more.

Deets: New Bahru, 46 Kim Yam Rd, New Bahru, Singapore 239351

Forged Parfait: cell-cultured meat

Forged Mont Blanc made with Forged Parfait at Tippling Club

Australian cell-cultured meat food tech company Vow debuts the Forged Parfait – a first-of-its kind cultured meat ingredient and Singapore is currently the only country in the world to have access to it. Forged Parfait is a premium cultured product made from Japanese Quail with a rich umami flavour and a weightless, melt-in-your-mouth quality. It is now exclusively available at Fura and Tippling Club, a restaurant that only offers set menus from $110++ for lunch through to the 13-course dinner at $250++. We tried this interesting new product at Tippling Club. Chef Ryan Clift uses the Forged Parfait in three dishes within his dinner menus. The Forged Mont Blanc was the standout – a crispy tart shell encompasses cherries topped with Forged Parfait, yoghurt and candied pistachios. The Forged Parfait itself tastes like creamy piped foie gras complemented by the sweet-tart cherries and the crispiness of the pastry. If you’re after something novel and want to try a lab-grown meat product, book a table here.

Forged dishes available at Tippling Club, 38 Tanjong Pagar Rd, Singapore 088 461
