Want to go ice skating in Singapore in 2026? Check out the new Ice Penguin rink at Clarke Quay, or head to the iconic Kallang Ice World. Here’s everything you need to know before heading down.

If you’re looking for a place to go ice skating in Singapore, there are now two options to choose from: Kallang Ice World and Ice Penguin. Other than offering ice skating lessons, Kallang Ice World is open to the public for more casual skating sessions–a indoor activity for when it’s scorching or raining outside. For a more central location, visit Ice Penguin, where you can enjoy a self-guided skating session or sign up for ice skating lessons, holiday camps and more. There used to be another ice skating rink in Singapore called The Rink at JCube, but it has since closed for a few years. Read on for what to expect at the ice skating rinks in Singapore!

1. Kallang Ice World: Iconic ice skating rink

Having been around for ages, Kallang Ice World was the only ice skating rink in Singapore for a long time. They offer leisure ice skating, as well as lessons for all levels from beginners to advanced ice skaters. The rink is also open for private birthday party bookings. To enjoy a session here, simply show up and buy tickets in person, first-come, first-served. There are 150 spaces per ice skating session at Kallang Ice World, so we recommend going early on the weekends to secure your ice skating spot. Do note that Kallang Ice World tends to get rather poor reviews online for the quality of the ice and rental equipment.

Ice skating prices: $18/child aged 5 to 12 for two hours and $20/adult for two hours (prices are inclusive of ice skate rental). Ice skating aids (like the pictured seal) are $15 per piece. Be sure to bring your own gloves and helmet!
Opening hours: 9am – 9:20pm (Sunday – Thursday); 9am – 11:40pm (Friday & Saturday)

2. Ice Penguin: New rink in Clarke Quay

If you or your child is new to ice skating, Ice Penguin is the perfect place to get started! This 1,000-square-foot synthetic ice rink helps skaters practice skills such as gliding, turning, and stopping in a safe environment. This unique surface offers more resistance than real ice, making it easier to build balance, stability and technique. Ice Penguin offers self-guided open skating sessions, but if you want to take it one step further, you can sign up for ice skating lessons, figure skating lessons or even ice hockey lessons with their experienced coaches. The best part is that one accompanying parent can enter the ice rink with your child for free for peace of mind. Plus, they offer ice skating holiday camps for a crash course.

Ice skating prices: $38 per child (aged 4 to 12) + 1 accompanying, non-skating parent for one hour; $28 per adult for one hour (aged 13+ and above). Prices are inclusive of protective guards, ice skate rental and shared skating aids. $10 per pax for additional accompanying parents. Book here.
Opening hours: WhatsApp them at (+65) 8026 3026 to enquire.

JCube The Rink ice skating rink: Permanently closed since August 2023

JCube The Rink was Singapore’s first Olympic-sized skating rink, where the National Skating Association (NSA) trained. The Rink was known for making ice skating easy with its ice skating lessons and skating aids for little ones up to age 12. Sadly, The Rink at JCube mall in Jurong East Central closed in August 2023 to make way for a 40-storey residential development.
