Playground Alert: Bishan Adventure Playground Re-opens

Swings and a pirate ship at newly reopened Bishan playground!

The Adventure Playground at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park has been closed in sections since September 2018, but the good news is that it is now all open with brand new equipment and makes the perfect stop for entertaining the kids big and small for free!

Look out for two toddler swings, a row of six big kids’ swings (so good given how hard it is to find swings in Singapore!), a section of small ride spring toys, and a play pirate ship with two slides and different climbing apparatus. There’s sand underfoot so bring sand toys if your little ones love making sandcastles, too.

Good for older kids

The playground has also retained the huge climbing frame and tunnel slides. It is mostly shaded and is a great place to stop off for a kids scooter/cycling break.

Food stop nearby: Grub

The adventure playground is quite close to Grub cafe – the perfect spot for a coffee or snack pre or post play.

Bishan has long been one of Sassy Mama’s many fave parks. There are a couple of water playgrounds, shaded paths for cycling with the fam, and there are two off-leash dog runs as well. There’s a heavy slant on eco-diversity and we have spotted lots of birdlife from kingfishers to herons here and wouldn’t be surprised to know there were otters and wild boars, too. Be sure to check it out with your littles, mama!
