The Paris Summer Olympics 2024 will take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024. This year, the Paris Olympics 2024 will feature 33 sports and a whopping total of 329 events.

The Paris Olympic Games 2024 will commence on Friday, July 26 2024 at 1:30am SGT (7:30pm CET) at the Seine with an opening ceremony like no other. There will be a parade of 10,500 athletes on 94 boats along a 6-km route by the Seine, and those who are lucky enough to be in the vicinity will get to watch for free!

The Olympics Opening Ceremony is traditionally a spectacular event that symbolises the official commencement of each Olympic Games. During the ceremony, viewers can look forward to unique artistic programmes that showcase the host country’s culture and history, as well as key events such as the Parade of Nations, releasing of doves, and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.

For the first time, the Paris Olympic Games 2024 Opening Ceremony has no admission fee for most of its spectators (fans won’t need tickets to access the upper quays). The Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 will be the largest in Games history.

Here in Singapore, Mediacorp will provide 14 channels of Olympics coverage, including a daily television broadcast on Channel 5 and MeWatch. Coverage will understandably focus on Team SG athletes competing in sports like swimming, table tennis, and badminton.

While the Danes may traditionally be more of a powerhouse in the Winter Olympics, the national broadcaster DR will still be offering free coverage! Just connect to a secure server in Denmark and you should be able to start streaming, no account required.

Stream Olympics coverage in France

France Télévisions (France TV) holds the broadcasting rights for the 2024 Summer Olympics and will show the event for free. Connect to a server in France then create your account to start watching the Olympics in Paris.

Watch the BBC’s UK Olympics broadcast

There are actually two ways to watch Team GB compete at the Paris Olympics: you can connect to a UK VPN server, then sign up for the free BBC iPlayer (you’ll be prompted to provide a UK postcode, like WC1X 0AA, when creating your account).

If you’re supporting Team USA, then you’ll be in for a treat as comedian and actress Leslie Jones will be narrating the Paris Olympics 2024 this year. NBC holds the broadcast rights.
