We love a good reason to get outdoors and get moving, and if you do, too, there’s a new festival in town for you. Mark your calendars for the inaugural RWS Cares Festival by Resorts World Sentosa, where two days of family fun come with a feel-good purpose of supporting social and environmental causes through the President’s Challenge. The goal? To raise $2 million for Singapore Charities. Look forward to the Steps of Hope Walkathon on 22 August, where you’ll experience the largest-ever character cheer squad, as well as the Green Living Fair on 22 and 23 August, and lots of family-friendly excitement!
Join a walkathon where you can meet your favourite characters

Singapore’s got plenty of marathons and walkathons throughout the year, but the Steps of Hope Walkathon is the first-ever of its kind! This 1.4km walk trails through three attractions: Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. The best part? Your favourite characters will be there! Along the route, you’ll encounter character cheer squads featuring over 20 crowd-favourites such as Illumination’s Minions, DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda and Shrek, Sesame Street friends, Transformers such as Bumble Bee, Optimus Prime and Megatron, POP MART’s Twinkle Twinkle and more–and yes, you can meet them, too!
The fun doesn’t end there–each ticket also grants you same-day admission to Adventure Cove Waterpark, where you can cool off, splash around and continue on your day of adventure after completing the walk. There’ll also be live entertainment, including a roving DJ and guest performances. Guest of Honour President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will also be gracing the opening day of the RWS Cares Festival.
Note: Tickets to the walkathon do not include same-day entry to the Singapore Oceanarium and Universal Studios Singapore. Attractions, rides and shows will also not be available during the walk.
Walk for a good cause & enjoy more family-friendly experiences

You’ll be glad to know that 100% of Steps of Hope Walkathon ticket proceeds will go to the President’s Challenge, benefitting the Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), TomoWork, and MILK (Mainly I Love Kids) Fund.
Keep the day going with a visit to the Green Living Fair, where you’ll find sustainable local brands, social enterprises and plenty of eco-friendly products to discover. Families can also enjoy hands-on workshops, interactive booths and performances by artists of all abilities, making it easy to turn your visit into a fun and meaningful day out.
Tickets for the Steps of Hope Walkathon are now available, with Early Bird tickets priced at $80/adult and $70/child while stocks last. Standard tickets are $85/adult and $75/child. Register here!
