Kid-Friendly Attractions: Driving school, hot air balloon ride & more

We love that Suzuka Circuit Park offers rides that were suitable for our 7-year-old and 4-year-old. Designed for family fun, Suzuka Circuit Park has 30 attractions, most of which are suitable for kids aged 6 or younger or under 120cm. Kids can become a taxi driver, train driver, patrol car driver, a power shovel operator and many more. Our 4-year-old especially loved going behind the wheel to drive a car, and it was nice for us to ride shotgun for a change!
Beyond offering a plethora of rides for a fun family day out, many of the attractions also allow parents to bond with their kids through exciting games and challenges. We worked together with the kids to operate a power shovel operator and embarked on a mission to clear obstacles at Adven Boat Frontier! More than just putting smiles on everyone’s faces for the day, Suzuka Circuit Park allows you to form core memories that you and your little ones will cherish for life.
Pro tip: If you’re visiting Suzuka Circuit during a busy period (i.e. public holiday or school holiday), we highly recommend purchasing the Fast Ride pass for popular attractions so you can skip the queues and make a beeline for your favourite rides–perfect for families with young kids who get antsy in long queues! Do note that this is only available for selected rides.
Circuit Challenger: Drive on the Suzuka Circuit race course

The highlight of our visit to Suzuka Circuit Park was definitely the Circuit Challenger. This is the only attraction where you can experience the Suzuka Circuit Racing Course in the flesh, the very same track that hosts the FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX! Here, you will hop into a cutting-edge EV machine, let adrenaline take over and put your driving skills to the test to complete half of the racing course.
For safety reasons, the cars can only travel at a maximum speed of 35km per hour, but we still had a blast feeling the wind through our hair as we whizzed through the course. Talk about taking go-karting to the next level! No driver’s license? No problem! Their friendly staff will brief and train you beforehand.
Tip: Do note that you don’t need a driver’s license to participate! Kids must be at least 11 years old to ride alone, and shotgun passengers must be at least two years old, accompanied by a supervising companion aged 13 or older.
Honda RACING Gallery: Exhibition of FORMULA 1® cars

Another highlight that must not be missed at the Suzuka Circuit Park is the Honda RACING Gallery. After all, it’s not every day you can get up close to historical FORMULA 1® cars that have participated in Grand Prix races! We reckon car and race enthusiasts will have a field day here, but for the laymen like us, it was still fascinating for us and the kids to find out more about these powerful machines and their victories (just ensure the kiddos keep their hands to themselves).
Restaurants at Suzuka Circuit Park: Affordable food & dessert

We visited during the summer, so we got hungry and thirsty pretty quickly! Thankfully, there was no shortage of restaurants or food stalls across Suzuka Circuit Park, so we could easily quench our thirst and satisfy grumbling tummies. At Suzuka Circuit Park, you can choose from over 20 restaurants featuring global cuisines from Chinese dim sum to American burgers, and of course, plenty of mouthwatering Japanese fare, including ramen, yakisoba, takoyaki, curry and more! We also enjoyed delicious (and affordable!) Italian fare at Course Side Pizzeria “Gran View” with a view of the Suzuka Circuit Racing Course! Do note that some restaurants may be closed on weekdays or when there are no races taking place. Don’t hesitate to ask the local staff for more information!
For hot days, take the kids to one of the dessert shops to cool off with a soft serve ice cream, shaved ice (only available during the summer) or a refreshing cold drink. We especially love that the food at Suzuka Circuit Park is affordable, averaging around $13 for a main and $9.50 for a kid’s meal. Click here for the full list of restaurants and their offerings.
Suzuka Circuit Water Park Aqua Adventure

During the summer from May to mid-September, Suzuka Circuit’s Water Park Aqua Adventure is perfect for beating the heat! There are five pools for kids (and grown-ups) of all ages. Feel the adrenaline rush as you whizz down water slides at Adventure Slider, ride the wave at Adventure Wave or relax while the little ones play at Adven Baby. Our kids also had a blast testing their balance at the inflatable obstacle course and whizzing down an inflatable slide!
We especially loved the Adventure River, where you can grab a tube float and let the current carry you through the pool for a relaxing ride. Just be sure to keep an eye on the kids as the current can be quite strong in some areas. For the bold and courageous, there’s a sacred cave at Adventure Mountain, where you’ll find secrets that only true adventurers can decipher.
Suzuka Circuit Hotel: Car racing-themed with an onsen

For a stress-free visit to Suzuka Circuit, we recommend booking a room at Suzuka Circuit Hotel that’s just a short 3-minute walk from Suzuka Circuit Park. At this car racing-themed hotel, you’ll find a variety of rooms, some of which can accommodate up to six people. Having lived in many different hotels, Suzuka Circuit Hotel is one of the most kid-friendly hotels we’ve ever experienced! If you’re travelling with young kids, we’d recommend the KOCHIRA Family Room or the West Circuit Kids’ Room, which are equipped with thoughtful, kid-friendly touches. These rooms are equipped with low beds, furniture with rounded corners, and an engaging visual exploration game. Our kids especially loved that the KOCHIRA Family Room even had a kids’ peephole so they could finally be the first to check out who’s at the door!
For convenient family meals, book the Suzuka Circuit Hotel package that includes breakfast and dinner buffets, as there aren’t many F&B options within the vicinity of Suzuka Circuit Park. Carefully prepared with local ingredients, the dishes at the Suzuka Circuit Hotel buffet change with the seasons. Our favourite part about this restaurant is that you can drop off your kids aged 3 to 6 at their childcare centre for 30 minutes, so you can enjoy your meal in peace! The kids also enjoyed the Garden Breakfast that was packed in adorable picnic baskets and was filled with wholesome brekkie treats for everyone. Simply pick it up at Circuit Dining, then head to your favourite spot for a morning picnic before heading to Suzuka Circuit Park! After a day of fun at Suzuka Circuit Park, we relaxed sore muscles at their authentic Japanese onsen and public bath experience so we could wind down for the night!
Getting To Suzuka Circuit: From Singapore to Nagoya

Ready to plan your trip to Suzuka Circuit? The nearest airport to Suzuka Circuit is in Nagoya. There are direct flights from Singapore to Nagoya (Chubu) on Singapore Airlines, and the flight takes 6 hours 40 minutes. If you travel by public transport, it takes around 100 to 120 minutes from Chubu Centrair International Airport (60 minutes from Kintetsu Nagoya Station) or 170 minutes from Kansai Airport (120 minutes from Kintetsu Osaka-Namba Station).
If you are on a tight budget like we were, you can opt to take cheaper flights that transit through Osaka. There are connecting flights to Nagoya from here, or you can take a train from Osaka (about 2 hours from Osaka-Namba via the Kintetsu Line) to Nagoya. We personally didn’t mind doing this as it gave us time to rest and explore Osaka (and avoid any overtired child meltdowns!) en route to and from the Suzuka Circuit.
