Looking to have some fun over September school holidays, mama? Head to Science Centre Singapore for Tinkerfest, uncover the Mysteries of the Unseen World at Omni-Theatre or participate in the Snow Science Fest!
With the theme “Nurturing 21st Century Learners”, Tinkerfest was organised with Imagin8ors and is all about highlighting the joys of learning through play, exploration and experimentation. Through a wide range of activities spanning the disciplines of art and science, kiddos will get full access to the Tinkering Studio, all the while boosting key skills like critical thinking, imagination and creativity.
Some of our fave all-day activities include:
- Land It Safely: Learn about the concepts of gravity, speed, time and friction by landing a paper helicopter safely with “passengers” on board
- Domino Effect: Assemble dominoes in the most creative way possible, the start the chain reaction and watch them fall!
- BrushBot Race: Create a “BrushBot” using a toothbrush then challenge your friends to a race while learning about robotics, electronics, and computational thinking.
Catch cool digital movies at the amazing Omni Theatre like Mysteries of the Unseen World, which introduces us to trail-blazing researchers who are pushing the envelope with technologies that peer with increasing clarity into these invisible realms. Dinosaurs at Dusk is another film the bubs will love, telling the story of a teenage girl and her father who explore the past to discover the evolution of dinosaurs into modern day birds.
Finally, mama, simply cool off at Snow City‘s Snow Science Fest, where you can discover the science behind all things cool and icy, and learn about the different properties of water, ice and snow through exciting hands-on experiments!
So make a beeline for Science Centre Singapore this September holidays with the kiddos mama, and let them discover the wonders of science and more!
