Join Canadian International School for a fun morning of educational activities designed to nurture 21st-century skills in preschoolers

We always hear about the benefits of play-based learning in schools – so how about the chance to see it for yourself? Canadian International School (CIS) is hosting two Kindergarten Open Houses this October where you and your child can discover their stellar purposeful play programme for young learners!

Did you know that the foundational years of a child’s education are crucial to the development of 21st-century skills, which are essential for future success? At CIS, such core competencies like critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and creativity are nurtured in kindergarten students from as young as two years old through purposeful play and an inquiry-based approach.

Learning through purposeful play

Get a firsthand look at how CIS uses purposeful play as an effective tool to make learning a fun and memorable experience for children. CIS’ Kindergarten programme is designed to stimulate imagination, creativity and self-discovery in children aged 2 to 5 years old. The programme draws from the best kindergarten curricula globally, and is delivered within the Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework. Guided by teachers, students are immersed in an engaging, hands-on curriculum that blends academic subjects with real-world application. This helps them develop a strong conceptual understanding of topics ranging from math to literacy, and encourages a love of learning during the process.

CIS teachers prioritise children’s social and emotional well-being above all. While nurturing their natural sense of curiosity and wonder, teachers make sure to cater to each student’s needs, abilities, and learning styles – so kids become happy, confident and engaged learners!

Experience the benefits of inquiry and purposeful play at the CIS Kindergarten Open House this October! You’re invited to bring your little ones (best for kids 2 to 5 years old!) along for a fun morning of educational activities designed to stimulate imagination, creativity, and self-discovery. By participating in these activities, you can find out how purposeful play teaches children to ‘learn how to learn’.

Have a question about how CIS’ kindergarten programme might help your child? CIS teachers and principals will be available to chat with parents – they will also share how CIS develops the skills that students need for a successful future in an ever-changing world.

You’ll also be able to join a guided tour of the school, where you’ll get the chance to observe classes in action and see the facilities that are built to foster curiosity and support CIS’ inquiry-based programme.
