With 100,000 tickets in three sold-out runs, this impressive musical is presented by Singapore Repertory Theatre and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. Developed by Cultural Medallion winner (and national icon) Dick Lee, the late Stephen Clark, and Director Steven Dexter (who’s worked on some of our favourites including A Twist of Fate and The LKY Musical), there’s so much to look forward to at this production of epic proportions.

There’s quite a cast, too! Homegrown singing sensation Kit Chan teams up with stars Cheryl Tan and Sheila Francisco to play the Empress at various stages of her life. Throw in Sebastian Tan (Broadway Beng) and Life! Theatre Award-winner Benjamin Chow and it’s no wonder Singapore is this excited for Forbidden City!

And that’s not all, Broadway lovers! West End sensation Earl Carpenter (Les Misérables) and Broadway star Steffanie Leigh (Mary Poppins) also star in the mesmerising tale.
