Here at Team Sassy we are always striving for that ever-elusive work-life balance (if anyone knows where to find it, please tell us!). The amazing new Trehaus School will take things to the next level: offering infant care (from 2 months of age), early years programs, and a fully accredited preschool up through K2, it’s tasked itself with the lofty goal of changing early education by focusing on building character and future skills, while also giving parents the amazing gift of being present for their children’s learning journey.

So what does “Silicon Valley-inspired” mean, exactly? Trehaus School has been created by a team of professional early childhood educators from around the world – including the renowned Bing Preschool on the Stanford University campus – and will draw on a range of leading pedagogies to create a tailored program that will place character and individuality at the heart of development in hopes of raising change-makers.

With the capacity to accommodate 100 children, Trehaus School will offer mixed-age learning in an engaging, open-plan setting. With a nurturing 1:5 class ratio and a “teachers as co-parents” philosophy, the curriculum will feature innovative offerings like “Little Engineer” to introduce future skills like coding and robotics; “Little CEO” to develop leadership and executive skills; “Little Entrepreneur” to instill problem-solving, design-thinking and entrepreneurial skills; and “Little Philanthropist” to encourage empathy and nurture a desire to give back to society.

Under the watchful eye of experienced Head of School Carolina Sam, Trehaus School will also offer both bilingual learning and Mandarin immersion, along with a variety of super fun enrichment activities like gardening, cooking, and even music production!

The new location in the heart of the city will make it easier than ever for parents to stay connected with professional commitments while also staying involved in their children’s learning journey.
