Camp Asia Elite’s Basketball Tryouts

Got a little LeBron at home, mama? Sign them up for Camp Asia Elite’s basketball tryouts this weekend. If they make the team, they’ll be part of Camp Asia Elite’s very first team. If you’ve not heard of Camp Asia, know that it’s long led the way in sports programmes for kids in Singapore, with coaching for budding young Beckhams and Agassis. There’s gymnastics and swimming coaching available too. If you’re little one was inspired by the Olympics this summer, then this is the place for them to be. The basketball tryout is for all boys ages 9-12; others sports camps for kiddos start from age 3.

Free Elves Workshop by FabCafe

Bring the minis to a modern day Elves Workshop at the ArtScience Museum to tinker around with some arts and crafts. They’ll get to make gift tags, ribbons, garlands and postcards and upcycle vinyl banners into bags or purses. Or they can try their hand at turning glass bottles into Christmas bells. Craft stations require registration on a first-come, first-serve basis, so get there early!

Sheroes Exhibition

Check out this cool photo exhibition of Sheroes – empowering women in everyday surroundings whose images have been selected by kids to share with Singapore. Hosted by the Singapore Committee for U.N. Women, you’ll also find out the winner of the Grand Exhibition and get to witness the prize-giving ceremony. How many of the sheroes in the photographs will you recognise, mama?

The Yard’s Christmas Festival
