Newly revamped Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden just got bigger and better with a flying fox, canopy bridge, wheelchair trampoline, veggie farm and new kids cafe, Food for Tots!

Big news mamas! Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden has just opened their doors to the new wing of the extended garden and can we just say how amazing it is?! It’s always been one of our favourite parks and with its new two-hectare extension doubling its size, Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden is now officially the largest children’s garden in Asia!

We love how NParks has woven in different ecosystems, textures (different paths, bridges, bumpy gravel, smooth wood), adventure, fun and art (huge bird sculptures) within the new gardens – plus there is plenty to learn and experience making this one amazing outdoor classroom for wildschooling!

In addition to the original faves of water fountain play area, sandpit, herb garden, maze and a tree house with slides, the new extension sees a cute cafe, Food for Tots (by Food for Thought) complete with colouring pencils and a little play area. There’s the ‘farm’ which is a plot with loads of veggies growing from pumpkins to luffas and winged beans plus workshops for hands-on activities and learning about ecosystems. There’s a flying fox (whoop!) and a cool raised canopy walkway protected by netting plus more treehouses, a wheelchair friendly trampoline (kudos!) plus some percussion play and a fairy den– that’s not official lingo, but if you go take a peak you’ll see what we mean!

Food for Tots – Newly opened!
