A Peter Rabbit Tale

Based on the beloved children’s classic by Beatrix Potter and beautifully reimagined by Sarah Brandt, A Peter Rabbit Tale teaches kiddos the importance of family! Peter causes nothing but trouble with his constant mischief, but when he breaks the rules and steals from Mr McGregor’s garden, he knows he’s gone too far. Afraid of what his mother might say, the only option for this little fugitive is to leave his warm rabbit hole and run away into the big world. Join Peter as he goes on a musical adventure of new places and new faces, discovering the importance of cherishing your loved ones and the wonderful freedom of being yourself.

LEGO Batman Escape Room

Already marking your calendar for the LEGO Batman movie, mama? To get you and your kiddos even more psyched for the release, a superhero experience awaits at ION! Join the first-ever LEGO Batman Escape Room to defeat notorious villains and save the city. Young LEGO and Batman fans are called on a mission to save the city by completing a series of exciting role-playing and problem-solving games before the time runs out. Also swing by for a fun photo opportunity with Batman, Batgirl and Robin and catch them in real-life action!

When: Now through Saturday, 18 February 2017. Appearances by the life-sized LEGO Batman, Batgirl and Robin costume characters on 4 – 5 February at 1pm, 6pm and 7:30pm

Lobster Bonanza at Melt Café, Mandarin Oriental

Paying homage to one of the world’s most prized and beloved seafood ingredients, Melt Café presents a Lobster Bonanza! Expect unique Western and local creations such as the Cognac-Infused Lobster Bisque with garlic croutons and Oven-Roasted Lobster Tail with brandy hollandaise, or the Singapore Lobster Laksa topped with quail egg, bean sprouts, bean curd puff, shredded cucumber, laksa leaves and sambal chilli at the live noodle station. Look forward to Asian preparations such as Indian Spices-Marinated Marron Lobster, hearty Thai Tom Yum Soup topped with shredded lobster meat, a delectable array of Lobster Maki Roll and more. YUM!

Trehaus Film Screening of Desert Flower

February 6th marks the UN International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation. Join for a screening of the award-winning film Desert Flower, which follows the journey of Somali-born model Waris Dirie, who suffered from the practice at a young age. After a traumatic childhood, she eventually moves to the UK where she gets discovered by a fashion photographer and starts modelling. Over the course of the film, she discovers she underwent female genital mutilation and we see how she comes to terms with it. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on the issues raised by the film in our local context.
