Our Guide to the Best Moving Companies in Singapore

LearnPost Category - LearnLearn

We’ve rounded up the best moving companies in Singapore, whether you’re moving across the world or just across town!

Whether you’re finishing up an overseas posting or simply moving to a new apartment, finding the right mover is an essential ingredient to ensuring this highly stressful process goes smoothly. We’ve put together a comprehensive list of the best moving companies in Singapore to help get you sorted, mama!

Where available, we’ve even provided the average estimated cost for a local move (based on a 3-bedroom condo). Bear in mind that prices can vary depending on a wide number of factors (square footage, amount of furniture, apartment location and more), but at least you get a general idea, which is handy with such a seemingly overwhelming process. It’s always worth getting a few different quotes if you can, mama — in our experience different companies can vary by thousands of dollars in their pre-move estimates!

Astro Worldwide Movers
Astro’s been around since 1976 and is well-versed in coordinating the logistics involved in an international move (just check out their name), along with related tasks like air freight and shipping. Of course with their strong network of movers and trucks, they can also help with local moves in a snap.

Astro Worldwide Movers, 22 Sin Ming Lane #06-76 Mid View City, Singapore 739984, Tel: (+65) 6791 2488, [email protected]

Their standard package includes full door-to-door service (that means no packing, score!), and they can even help you arrange handover services like handymen and apartment cleans.

Average estimated cost for a local 3-bedroom condo move: $3,200 + GST

Just came across this post as I was frantically looking for a replacement mover – I had initially engaged Astro Movers because their price was reasonable and they seemed reputable. Unfortunately they never turned up and they would not pick up our calls. We had even confirmed with them earlier in the morning but at the agreed time, they never showed up. Relocation is stressful and having an irresponsible mover just compounds it. Would definitely NOT recommend them. Thankfully, Citimap (also on your list) came to the rescue.

Raffles Relocation is the most unprofessional company ever! They arrived late on all 3 days of the move, they sent only 1 worker to pack a 4-bedroom apartment (with the excuse that the other workers were sleeping!!!!), they could not finish the job on time obviously due to their stinginess with sending workers, they didn’t do any packing lists until we made them do so, and despite their CEO Maneesh Sharma personally assuring me it would be done, they could not finish the job within the 3 days. Also despite breaking some of the stuff during the move and acknowledging it, they have refused to respond to my emails or calls. This is one of those fly-by-night operators with no sense of service. It does a good job pretending to be professional though.

    • Laura Liu

Nadir, thanks for sharing. I should avoid Raffles Relocation. Do you have experience with any other moving company listed here? We moving to another apartment in Singapore. Thanks!

      • Nadir Ali Zafar

I’ve used Allied Pickford when I moved from UAE to Singapore and they were excellent, top notch! However when I used the same company from Singapore to UAE they delayed my goods by a few weeks, they did not have a packing list and they broke one of my items. Plus the management at Allied Singapore was not very good at solving problems. I would suggest trying out one of these smaller companies for local relocations such as Sir Move and Crown Relocation.

  • Dilpa Sthankiya Davies

Agree with the comment on Raffles Relocation. They have lost USD 10k of our household items that we had shipped from SG to Barcelona, some very personal sentimental items included and we have not been able to claim the insurance due to a number of blunders on their part. We have had intermittent and irregular contact with them despite some initial assurances that we would be compensated. We have now decided to take legal action. DO NOT USE!!

  • Natalie Ann Tan

Has anyone had any experience with SIR?

    • Dawn Ho

We did a move with SIR from SG to Melbourne. The items took 3 months to arrive (they said 6 weeks) and some items were damaged. All we could do was claim from insurance which also took a very long time and their backend services was difficult to contact and not very friendly.

  • koala bear

I have heard some good reviews using CitiMap from some of my expat colleagues that they are fairly competent and cheap when using their overseas relocation services as opposed to using some “international moving companies”. Therefore i’m a bit surprised to see limited coverage of the company(no photo and down the list).

  • unhappy bunny

Avoid Raffles – they quoted low to get the business then hit me with a bunch of extra charges. They just wanted to get the job done with zero customer service from head office – by far the worst move i have ever done. Avoid at your peril.

Sassy Mama Makeup Tips: Everyday Makeup⠀
1. Start with a light daytime foundation to hide blemishes and dark circles. Follow with translucent powder for all-day staying power!⠀
2. Fill in your eyebrows with a pencil or pomade. Eyebrows really frame the face, so filling them in will help you look more polished.⠀
3. Curl the lashes (our eyelash curler of choice is from @shuuemura) to open up the eyes. ⠀
4. Contour the cheeks with a bronzing or contour powder. Any cheek brush will do, but a tapered one like this from @zoevacosmetics will give you a precise application while blending the product out. Contouring the nose is optional, but if you want you can use a small fluffy brush just along the sides of the nose up to the eye sockets. If contouring's not your thing, skip it and apply blush!⠀
5. Finish off with your favourite everyday lippie! The @thefaceshop_sg Flat Velvet Lipstick is long-wearing without being too drying, and great for touch-ups.⠀
