Looking to reach a new fitness goal or simply support a good cause? We’ve got the lowdown on all the best Singapore marathons and running events taking place, including half marathons, 10km runs, fun runs, kids’ runs and more!

It goes without saying that Singapore is a fab place for running, especially with so many family-friendly parks around. That said, you might be looking to challenge yourself to a full marathon (41.195km), a half marathon (21.1km), or even a 10km run or below. Well, you’re in luck because there are so many running events and marathons in Singapore that take place throughout the year! Many of these marathons also support good causes, and we love that there are plenty that include fun runs and kids’ dashes for some good family fun.

Sesame Street Run Powered by JomRun 2026

Are you team Elmo? Team Cookie Monster? Or both? Well, you can make a choice at the wholesome Sesame Street Run Powered by JomRun, taking place on 12 April 2026! This fun run comes with super cute race entitlements including a keychain and card holder, with official Sesame Street merch you can add on.

Gudetama Egg-citing Walk 2026: Fun 3km walk

We’re huge fans of the adorable Gudetama, the cute, lazy egg yolk character from Sanrio. The Gudetama Egg-citing Walk is back for its 2026 edition and there’s lots of fun for the family. Participate in an egg hunt along the 3km trail and earn badges through a digital egg hunt and activities. The race pack is also filled with collectibles, namely adorable Gudetama merch, including an eggy yellow race tee.

A run for competitive runners, families, kids and even cats and dogs? We’re so here for it! There’s so much happening at the Income Eco Run, and it’s all for a great cause as it shines the spotlight on a zero-waste lifestyle. The Income Eco Run brings back the 1km Pets Category, so bring your furkids to join the cause. Kids as young as 4 years old can also participate in the Kids Categories. It’s all worth it–because for every kilometre each participant clocks, Income Insurance will donate $1 towards the zero waste movement.

Run for Light is back for its 10th edition, in support of the visually challenged. At this running event, join the signature 1km blindfold walk, followed by a fun run and competitive run. This year’s run partners with Planet Sustain to incorporate an eco-friendly experience to the event, too!

If you’re always the one saying, “let’s take the stairs,” then the National Vertical Marathon is for you. The National Vertical Marathon is back, and this year, the goal is to race up Guoco Midtown. Attempt the challenge solo, or pair up with a buddy to reach the top of the tower. Gather your best runner buddies for the Teams Open, or take it on as a family!

The adorable SAFRA Diaper Dash is back and it promises a tonne of fun for the little ones. This year’s SAFRA Diaper Dash takes on a special SG60 theme, with Pororo Park as its partner. There’ll be Pororo meet-and-greet sessions and sing-alongs, and of course, adorable baby races for little ones as young as 6 months old to 36 months old. There are prizes to be won, so it’s going to be an exciting race!

As the conversation surrounding mental health continues, there’s no better way to raise awareness about stigmatisation and discrimination than with those who’ve experienced it themselves. Enter: the Unlabelled Run, which is a call to unite society to be more inclusive, cohesive and compassionate and remove prejudicial labels.

Finally, a kids’ marathon perfect for the energetic little ones who love to run! The Cold Storage and Giant Kids Run is back and kids can take part in both competitive and non-competitive races. Some great prizes are up for grabs, including hampers worth up to $400 and trophies for the top finishers. P.S. Strollers are perfectly welcome if you’re coming with younger kids!

Lazada Run 2026: Half marathon in Singapore

You’ll want to train hard for this running event because the winners of the competitive 10km and 21.1km categories can win up to $1,000 and $1,500, respectively! Look forward to other fun events such as the Lazada  x POP MART 5km Run, a Voucher Snatch during the regular 5km fun run, and a Cart Dash shopping showdown.

The Singapore Children’s Society’s annual Walk for Our Children returns this year. Besides a fun walk and challenging race, you can expect lots of family fun at this running event in Singapore. There are relay races, football dribble challenges, sports try-outs such as archery and laser shooting, plus carnival booths, performances and games.

Running Lab Run 2026: 10km run in Singapore

The Running Lab Run takes place at Marina Barrage this year, with two categories: an easy 5km run and a 10km competitive run. Runners will race through the footpaths along Gardens by the Bay East and Tanjong Rhu for a scenic view en route to scoring that medal.

At the annual Skechers Friendship Walk, you can expect a fun walk and fun activities to support a good cause. This year’s beneficiary is APSN, a social service agency that provides support to individuals with mild intellectual disabilities. There’ll be lots of fun activities at this running event in Singapore: stand a chance to win a year’s supply of Skechers footwear, take part in a mass warm-up, join a zumba session and enjoy live performances and games.

Organised by the Samaritans of Singapore, this running event aims to normalise conversations surrounding suicide and mental wellbeing. The Salvation Army’s annual running event, Race For Good, is back! Proceeds will go towards the organisation’s critical programmes, initiatives, infrastructure and operations–also a good way to teach the kiddos about volunteering in Singapore. The Race Against Cancer is back! Organised by the Singapore Cancer Society, this marathon in Singapore rallies the community to support those impacted by cancer. All funds will go towards a good cause, including vital services, treatment subsidies, welfare aid, rehabilitation, hospice care, screenings, research, education and support groups. This year, you can also join a virtual race at your convenience, via the Strava App!

Run for Hope is a yearly event by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore. Run for Hope aims to bring people together to show support and raise awareness for cancer research—a cause that touches countless lives. There’ll also be live performances and health and wellness booths for you to browse as you wind down after your run!

Held every year, the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run is all about supporting second chances. It’s a meaningful movement that encourages the community to embrace ex-offenders and help them rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. Last year’s Yellow Ribbon Prison Run had a 10km competitive run, a 5km non-competitive run, and even a Kids Dash measuring 700m!

Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2026: Biggest running event in Singapore

Arguably Singapore’s biggest marathon of the year, dating back to 1982, the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon (also known as the Standard Chartered run) takes place at the end of each year. The Singapore Marathon’s 2026 edition is going to be equally as exciting, and runners of all ages are welcome to join! We’ve seen past years’ marathons with participants decked out in fun costumes, so feel free to add some excitement to your challenge.

Little ones are also invited to get a sweaty workout! Though the deets are still under wraps, word on the street is that the Kids’ Dash promises a tonne of fun. Kids will ‘compete’ according to their age groups (0 – 3 years old, 4 – 6 years old, 7 – 9 years old, 10 – 12 years old). Plus, don’t miss the Kids’ Village that features a bouncy castle, games and activities for family fun!

Make-A-Wish Singapore’s annual Santa Race for Wishes 2025 is back! This running event aims to raise awareness and support for children and families facing extraordinary medical challenges, with the goal of hitting a collective distance of 60,000km through running, walking or cycling. You can also donate to support the cause!

Ridge Runners 13th Anniversary Run: Half marathon at Kent Ridge

You’ve come to the right place if you’re looking for a run that comes with challenging terrain. The Ridge Runners 13th Anniversary Run offers two categories, including a half-marathon, where 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the respective race category winners’ charity of choice. Buff Forest Force Run: 20km – 50km run in Singapore

The Buff Forest Force Run is not for the faint of heart, but definitely for those who want to push their limits. Known as the oldest trail race in Singapore, the Buff Forest Force Run has four race categories ranging from 10km to 50km! This running event takes place over the span of three days – the first 10km run having wrapped on 4 May and the 20km run wrapped on 6 July. The first-ever AirAsia Kallang Run kicks off this year at Singapore Sports Hub! Look forward to two non-competitive race categories as well as a fun aviation-themed carnival (did you know that Singapore Sports Hub used to be the home of the former Kallang Airport?). Participants are encouraged to dress creatively, with ‘Best Dressed’ prizes to be won–get some inspo for costumes here.

Healing Steps: Walk For Mental Health

We know all too well the importance of paying attention to mental health. Celebrating World Mental Health Day, Healing Steps is a walkathon that shows solidarity to those living with mental health conditions. You can join the physical 2km or 5km walk, or do a 10km virtual walk on your own time throughout the month of October.

Here’s one for the competitive runners: the Garmin Run Asia Series is coming to Singapore and there are cash prizes to be won! The race takes place at marathon-fave venue Marina Barrage, and welcomes those who want to challenge themselves in speed and stamina.
