NFL fans, listen up! Wondering where to watch the 2022 Super Bowl in Singapore? Here’s where to catch the big game!

Super Bowl Sunday may be a de facto American holiday, but what happens when you live halfway around the world and the football game is actually played bright and early Monday morning? Just swap out beers and guacamole for some strong coffee and pancakes, of course and watch the Super Bowl in Singapore! Thanks to modern technology we can even still watch all the great commercials!

Sadly, live televised sports are still prohibited in bars and restaurants in Singapore, so fans still can’t gather in large groups to cheer on their teams. Here’s hoping that by next year all our favorite F&B establishments are back to hosting their annual Super Bowl breakfast bonanzas!

But never fear, mamas, you can definitely still watch the big game from the comfort of your own home. So far the 2022 NFL playoffs have delivered major thrills, and with an immensely likable Cinderella team now on the cusp of a championship, you won’t want to miss the big game. Read on for all the deets on how to watch Super Bowl LVI in Singapore!

When is the 2022 Super Bowl?

Super Bowl LV kicks off at 6:30pm Eastern Standard Time Sunday, 13 February 2022 at So-FI Stadium in Los Angeles, California which means 7:30am on Monday, 14 February for us here in Singers.

Who is playing in the 2022 Super Bowl?

This year’s game features a bit of a Cinderella story in the Cincinnati Bengals, who are representing the AFC. They are led by second-year quarterback Joe Burrow (nicknamed “Joey Brrrrr” because he’s seemingly got ice water running through his veins) and rookie sensation Ja’Marr Chase, who smashed a number of single-season rookie receiving records. The pair aren’t just leading a youth movement in the NFL—they’ve actually found success together before in college at LSU, where they won a national championship in 2019. The Bengals have never won the Super Bowl, and have only played in the big game twice (the last time was all the way back in 1989—incidentally well before either Burrow or Chase was even born). Cincinnati’s defense, which was fairly mediocre during the regular season, has turned things on during the NFL playoffs. They lead all teams with five turnovers and have shut down some of the league’s most electrifying stars, including Derrick Henry and Patrick Mahomes, with two big upsets on the road.

If the Bengals represent a grassroots youth movement, their opponent from the NFC, the Los Angeles Rams, are very much the establishment team. The Rams—led by wunderkind Coach Sean McVay–played in the Super Bowl just three years ago (though they lost to the Patriots), and are anchored by the NFL’s top defensive player, Aaron Donald, and the league’s leading receiver, Cooper Kupp. In the last two years they’ve also traded for a number of high-profile, expensive stars like quarterback Matthew Stafford, linebacker Von Miller, and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Funnily enough, while the Rams will be playing in their home stadium, Los Angeles football fans are notoriously mild-mannered, so they probably won’t have as much of a home field advantage as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did in the same situation last year. That said, the Rams are currently 4.5-point favorites to win the game.

Where can I watch the Super Bowl in Singapore?

The game will not be shown on TV in Singapore (boooo!), but you can watch it at home. Your best option is to get a VPN, which allows you to stream content from anywhere in the world. Just connect to a U.S. server location (such as Los Angeles or Seattle) and you can stream the game for free via NBCSports.com. You’ll definitely want to watch an American feed to ensure you can watch all the new commercials. The game will also be available through U.S. cord-cutting apps like Hulu, YouTube TV, and fuboTV.

There are lots of VPNs out there, but we recommend ExpressVPN, which gets top marks from various tech sites for its speed, security features, and excellent customer service. It’s super easy to set up and works with TVs, computers, phones and tablets, and even streaming boxes. And as a bonus you’ll be able to watch U.S. Netflix, HBO Max and other overseas streaming services!

To watch the American Super Bowl coverage, just follow these basic steps:

1. Get ExpressVPN
2. Connect to a US server location (eg. Los Angeles or Seattle).
3. Stream free from NBCSports.com
4. Enjoy the Super Bowl!

Who is in the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show?

This year promises one of the most star-studded halftime shows in recent memory. Native Angelenos (and OG rappers) Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will appear alongside Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige. Their collective hit songs are far too numerous to list out here, but there are certainly more than enough to fill the 15-minute runtime.

Where can I see the best Super Bowl commercials?

If you watch the game live you’ll be able to follow along in real time as everyone reacts on social media. Or you can always see the highlights on YouTube after the game.

Happy watching, and may the best team win!
