Adventure, laughter and out of the box learning await, mama! With nurturing teachers and amazing facilities, Little Tykes is a brand-new toddler drop-off programme that your kids will adore.

If you are looking for an inspiring boutique preschool for your little one, this may be where your search ends mama! Little Tykes is a fab new toddler programme that’s now open for enrolment. Based out of the Integrated International School’s (IIS) bright new campus within the Sunset neighbourhood of Clementi, Little Tykes is perfect for toddlers between 1.5 to 3.5 years of age.

Let kids be kids!

Designed to allow children to embrace their natural curiosity and strong personalities, Little Tykes is based on the Reggio Emilia approach where kids are encouraged to express their ideas and curiosities. By taking a multi-sensorial approach with lots of art, play, music, dance and drama, Little Tykes provides opportunities for each child to develop the necessary school readiness skills of the 21st century learner.

Its founder and practicing child psychologist, Dr Vanessa von Auer makes it a point to ensure every person at the school feels welcome and important. “We live in a world where individuality is more important than ever before and Little Tykes gets it. Rather than take the traditional top-down approach to learning, we live up to our motto of Redefining Success to encourage our kids to break the mould – and let their playfulness, energy and unique experiences drive our programme.”

In addition to having Dr Vanessa on board, Little Tykes is also supported by highly experienced teaching experts who are advocates for inquiry-based learning. The teachers at Little Tykes truly value the importance of supporting each child’s unique creativity and imagination. Inspired by Reggio Emilia, the team is passionate about seeing the world through the eyes of each child offering them endless possibilities to learn, explore, and create through play. With a power woman – who is first and foremost a mama – at the helm and loving teachers to guide the kiddos, you know the Little Tykes team is already a big believer in their potential!

A creative, enriching environment

The team at Little Tykes have painstakingly worked to create a loving, safe and personalised space for young learners, so they can comfortably use what’s around them to guide their own curriculum and build meaningful relationships with others. A bright, open layout with plenty of colour is sure to inspire toddlers and adults alike. With a remarkably low teacher to student ratio (1:4), and a maximum of 12 students in each class  – you are sure to love what you see, mama!

Great Facilities at Little Tykes

And can we take a moment to talk about the incredible facilities? Get this: there’s a first-of-its-kind Ocean Snoezelen sensory room which comes with bubble tubes, fibre optic blankets and a super cool colour switching infinity portal. Talk about wow-factor!

Then, there’s the beautiful outdoor space (a big plus in our eyes) complete with a teepee, sandpit and even a race track, which will have your child never wanting to miss school – ever again!  From building imaginary cities out of recyclables, to growing their own ingredients in a mini herb garden, there’s ample opportunity to mix up the way they learn inside and outside the atelier.

Bilingual immersion

Finally, if you are looking for a solid Mandarin programme, they have that too, mama! Kids at Little Tykes receive a high-quality bilingual immersion with a dedicated Mandarin teacher in their play atelier.
