The news that Kate and William furnished the nursery of their royal baby with high end nursery outfitters Dragons of Walton Street inspired us to investigate beautiful nursery and children’s bedroom furniture available in Singapore – fit for our very own prince or princess!

Baby Zoo has a great range of Matrix furniture including daybeds, loft beds and bunks. A sure hit with the little ones is the low loft bed which includes the novelty factor of a small slide and ladder. Also worth checking out are the wooden dollhouses and the Time to Read revolving bookcase.

Francfranc
A Japanese import, Francfranc offers affordable and stylish furniture as well as home décor items. They change their collection quite often, which makes frequent visits worthwhile. Check out their butterfly-shaped clothes hangers for little girls, patterned photo frames or why not pick up one of their brightly colored rugs for a splash of color in mini-me’s boudoir?
Oh, did we mention that their flagship store is located in VivoCity, a Lion City mama favorite?

G.O.D
Goods of Desire is a little slice of Hong Kong right here in Singapore. We love their signature east-meets-west design with traditional and modern styles all mixed into one. Although not a children’s’ store per se, G.O.D offers a wide range of funky little design items that will brighten up any room. We really like their patterned beanbags, lucky charms and multi-coloured decoration lamps to name a few things but really, go see for yourself!

Ikea
We bet you didn’t see this one coming, right mama? Well, we may be predictable, but the fact remains that good ol’ Ikea is always worth a mosey round if you’re doing up a kids room. It might not rock your world, but the toddler beds and changing tables are decent, the prices are right, and weirdly, kids absolutely love going there, so if nothing else, it’s an outing! Nibble on some horse meatballs at their fab cafe while you’re at it.

Motherswork
If you’re looking to snazz up your little munchkin’s room, you should definitely head to Motherswork for some goodies from Dwell Studio, Leander and Stokke. These bits and bobs certainly don’t come cheap, but if you love a “designer” look you’re going to be all over it. Sassy Mama Tip: Sometimes there’s more on offer than meets the eye – strike up a conversation with a shop assistant and you’ll learn about furny products that you won’t see on the shop floor!

Ni-night
Ni-night was started by a mother of three who wanted to create a store that offered something a bit more special than the usual offering (no fire engine beds here…). The store features a range of locally and internationally sourced furniture, which is solid hard wood and made to ISO certification. You can also indulge in a bit of feel-good shopping as Ni-night stock a range of beautiful cotton pyjamas and nightdresses made by a vocational training company in Cambodia.
