OWIS Suntec: Prime Central Location & CCAs at SuperPark!

One World International School – Suntec Campus takes advantage of its central location to make learning more interesting for students from weekly CCAs at nearby SuperPark to watching performances at Esplanade!

It’s been just a year since the launch of the One World International School (OWIS) Suntec Campus, but the school community has grown enormously during that time. In fact, with increasing demand, OWIS Suntec will be adding a Secondary Grade 6 to its Early Childhood and Primary School offering in the upcoming academic year starting in August 2022.

The OWIS Suntec campus is becoming known as a warm and welcoming international school in central Singapore. Students there enjoy being in a community built around kindness and respect for others, with a diverse student body.

There are many reasons to send your child to OWIS Suntec, the most important of which, according to school parents, is the centralised location. For families who live in the East or the Downtown Core, there’s nothing better than an international school that’s within an easy distance for young children.

Why is a central location an advantage?

While OWIS Suntec’s location itself is easy to reach via public or private transport, the school is taking advantage of the location to make learning more interesting for students:

Co-curricular Activities (CCAs): Once a week, learners from the Suntec campus go to the adjoining Suntec City mall to visit SuperPark, an activity and entertainment centre. This is the highlight of the week for most students and they love their time here! The school also has partnered with other specialist providers in the area, such as Centre Stage School of Arts, which provides drama classes on campus. More CCAs are being added in the coming year.

School outings: Since the COVID restrictions ended, OWIS Suntec students are always out and about! To date, students have visited the Esplanade to watch a symphony orchestra performing, admired the graffiti on Haji Ali lane, and visited the nearby Botanic Gardens for a Unit of Inquiry. The future is bright for OWIS Suntec students, and there is much to see, experience and learn from outside the campus walls.

Visits from parents: With so many parents living and working in proximity to the school, they’re able to attend school events easily. Parents have been included as mystery readers for Book Week, have gone to see the PYP Exhibition, have volunteered to decorate the school for events, and more.
