Here’s an Intensive English language holiday camp for teens and young learners who speak English as a foreign language — and it’s lots of fun, too!

English Language Summer Study Camp at British Council focuses on boosting oral confidence, increasing communication skills, and improving English grammar and vocabulary in students (aged 4 to 17) from all the over the world who speak English as a foreign language. How exactly do teachers engage the kids in an age-appropriate way? Through interactive games and fun activities, plus a carefully designed programme of wide-ranging topics and exciting project work. There are 11 weeks of camp to choose from with new afternoon sessions in addition to weekly morning sessions too, with the last two sessions starting on Monday, 26 August 2019. Here’s what’s on offer for your kids this summer…

English Language classes for kindergarten-aged students (specially designed for non-readers and writers) involve arts & crafts, games and music.

Summer study camp for kids 4-6 years old:

These classes are specially designed for non-readers and writers. Young learners can look forward to arts and crafts, games and competitions, and songs and music. Topics range from Eating (do you like broccoli?) to parts of the body and dinosaurs. Kids will be building cardboard box houses, and making animal masks and musical instruments. Lessons are hands-on fun with English vocab woven into each activity so learning is seamless. Plus the teacher-to-student ratio is excellent: with both a teacher and a class assistant present, there’s one adult to every six children.

Summer study camp for Primary and Secondary students:

To engage older kids British Council Summer Camp use a mixture of games, projects, drama and communicative activities (like working in small teams). Topics range from Fascinating History where students will prepare a research project about a historical event to Advertising where persuasive techniques (and the accompanying vocabulary) will be studied in order to make their own advert to be presented to their classmates. These summer camps offer students a huge advantage in improving English grammar and vocabulary as well as increasing general knowledge and boosting overall confidence.

New afternoon sessions at Summer Study Camp will be jam-packed with fun activities like team games and crafts.
