Family favourite Jamie’s Italian has rolled out some delicious new menu items, mama, including a number of new vegetarian and vegan items!

Heads up Mamas! Jamie’s Italian has just churned out a newly updated menu, available at both its Vivo City and Forum restaurants. From nibbles to hearty meals, they have something to please everyone.

Truffle lovers alert! This new menu boasts a variety of truffle-based dishes alongside the usual Italian favourites. At Jamie’s Italian Forum, a must-try is the Truffle Ravioli filled with freshly minced black truffle and garnished with parmesan and brown butter. Another crowd pleaser here is the hand stretched Truffle Flatbread topped with truffle butter.

At Jamie’s Italian Vivo City, truffle fans can order a side of truffle mashed potatoes or try the truffle shuffle pizza topped with white sauce, sweet balsamic onions, fontal cheese, a free range egg and of course grated black truffle.

Diners can also savour a 10oz rib eye steak accompanied by triple cooked chips, portobello mushrooms, gremolata, baby watercress and balsamic onions. The new chargrilled tuna steak is another good option served with herby smashed avocado, tomatoes and basil.

Jamie’s Italian has concurrently announced new meat-free dishes easily identifiable by vegan and vegetarian logos. The Crispy Mushroom Frittis (deep fried herby Portobello mushrooms) served with a delicious garlicky mayo was definitely one of my favourites from the veggie variants. Jamie’s is also right there for mamas looking to eat clean and healthy with their Classic Super Foods Salad of avocado, broccoli, roasted beets, pomegranate, mixed pulses and grains with harissa dressing and cottage cheese.

Both restaurants have a great selection of antipastis, such as the Crab Arancini – fried calls of crab risotto served with a pickled fennel, bean and mint salad dressed with a yuzu lime and basil yoghurt. The crostini selection is great, too with my favourite being the Salumi Crostini, a mini bruschetta topped with crispy salumi, whipped buffalo ricotta and aged balsamic. Prices are reasonable, too, varying from around $11++ for the antipastis to $46++ for a 200g steak.

As ever, Jamie’s Italian is a huge hit with kids, with a range of tasty, wholesome dishes on its special kids’ menu, all designed to promote healthier eating. All kids’ meals come with fruity water and a Shake-Me Salad. Each child is also treated to a goodie bag to entertain them during their meal. Amen to that!
