You no longer need to travel across the world to see the magical Northern Lights as they're coming to Singapore! Borealis is a new, outdoor immersive light and sound installation at Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove that opens on 4 May.⁠

Admire the sights as a soundtrack by French composer Guillaume Desbois plays in the background. Variations in wind, humidity and temperature make this installation a fascinating blend of art and technology, an ever-changing experience. ⁠

Borealis has travelled to more than 40 cities across Europe, Australia, Asia and the US, and the experience at Gardens by the Bay will mark its first time in Singapore. Link in bio for more deets.⁠

𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪: 𝟯𝗗𝟮𝗡 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗣 𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗦𝗧, 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗦𝗜𝗔⁠
Looking for a quick weekend getaway? We took a 3D2N trip to Desaru Coast, Malaysia and had a blast! It’s only a short 90-minute ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal! Whether you’re looking to unwind at the beach while the kids build sandcastles or want to explore nature in Desaru with a guided tour, there’s something for everyone of all ages. We travelled with my parents who are in their 60s and two kids aged 5.5 and almost 3, and we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, which is only a short 3-minute buggy ride away from the beach and has the water park at its doorstep.⁠

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘂 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁⁠
We loved this hotel because it’s kid-friendly with free kids’ activities, a fabulous kids’ club (RM35 for the first hour) and direct access to the famous Adventure Waterpark! We also loved their swimming pool with a pool-side restaurant. Plus, there’s a well-equipped fitness centre and a relaxing spa.⁠

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 & 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘂 𝗙𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿⁠
It’s tough to choose our favourite activity...but everyone loved the Adventure Waterpark which has a kid-friendly section AND huge water slides for the young-at-heart. The Desaru Fruit Farm Tour was also a unique experience where we toured a massive fruit farm and tried deliciously sweet fruit and enjoyed a feast for lunch in true farm-to-table fashion! ⁠
