POPSUEY: A Pop-up Bar at Ann Siang
Look for a red door located off on Ann Siang Road, enter a tucked away attic space, and step into POPSUEY, Chopsuey Cafe’s pop-up bar concept in the heart of Singapore’s heritage district. Expect Asian-inspired tipples, small plates and Dim Sum, with light dishes to tantalise the palate and whet appetites while you groove to a soul soundtrack helmed by JustMack.

Star Wars Day: May The 4th Be With You Festival
As part of global ‘May the 4th’’ celebrations and to mark the 40th anniversary since the release of Star Wars: A New Hope, a three-day extravaganza will take place at the Supertree Grove, Gardens by the Bay! Catch STAR WARS™ themed highlights at the festival like Southeast Asia’s largest lightsaber light-up activation, Garden Rhapsody: STAR WARS Edition and appearances by Chewbacca and Kylo Ren, and prepare to be transported to a galaxy far, far away.

Funky Finnish First of May
Suomi Finland 100 Singapore brings a Finnish Style May Day Carnival to West Coast Park this long weekend, mama! In Finland, May Day celebrations have transformed from a pagan feast of spring into a nationwide urban carnival. To share the Finnish spirit with locals and fellow Finnish families in Singapore, the outdoor family event will be filled with activities, a picnic and music. Activities offered include ball games, sack and balloon races, ice hockey and skiing-inspired games, plus a doughnut eating competition, tasting of Finnish food specialities and more. Bring your own picnic basket and wear a funky hat to enter the contest and you may win a prize!

Singapore Heritage Festival 2017
A vibrant waterway that holds many fond memories for Singaporeans; culturally-rich precincts with a charming mix of the old and the new; and a star-studded hill named after a Colonial Secretary of the Straits Settlements: Singaporeans do not have to look very far to learn about our island home’s bountiful history and heritage. In the 14th edition of the Singapore Heritage Festival (SHF), everyone is invited to explore Singapore’s lesser known stories through a specially curated line-up of programmes and activities. Spanning three weekends from 28 April to 14 May 2017, this year’s edition of Singapore’s signature heritage festival features more than 110 programmes to rediscover, experience and enjoy the diverse stories of our tangible and intangible heritage.
