Shopping Highlights at Diwali Buzzar 2016

Get your shop on at the upcoming Diwali Buzzar happening on 5 October, mama! Indian fashionista Puneet has rounded up her faves from over 70 participating stalls from across Asia

The Diwali Buzzar – an event synonymous with festivity and well being – will be held at the Crystal Ballroom in Holiday Inn, Orchard on 5th October 2016, from 10am onwards. It will be a kaleidoscope of music, colors, textures, scents and smiles.

Buzzar was started in 2014 by a team of expat ladies of Indian origin settled here in Singapore. They shared a common sentiment and wanted to create a platform for showcasing talent. They came up with the idea for this event to create a place for women to meet, find encouragement and start their own journeys towards ‘resilience through enterprise’ in Singapore.

Buzzar is held twice a year, and over 70 exhibitors from Singapore & Southeast Asia participate. With over 5,000 guests and partners at this year’s event, Buzzar 2016 gives Singapore’s Indian Community a platform to meet and celebrate. To add to more fun elements to this shopping festival there will be other exciting activities such as all day Tambola with prizes and cash vouchers, kid’s performance, impromptu musical jam sessions & Lucky draws

Singapore-based celebrity chef Sarab Kapoor will be the ‘Guest of Honour’ for this event. She is the host of ‘Sarab Says, Make It Snappy’, a new television series airing on Zee TV throughout the Asia Pacific region. Mrs. Kapoor is also a prolific cookbook author and culinary writer. She has authored Om Cooking, a compilation of over 300 vegetarian recipes launched in 2002, and Cook Love Eat with Sarab, a collection of global fusion vegetarian recipes launched in 2012.

I’m looking forward to all the fabulous jewelry, along with the latest in Indian fashion and Home Décor. Gemstone studded jewels, silver ornaments, lacquer finishing are few highlights of the jewelry section at Buzzar 2016.

Brands showcasing in Jewelry include Meenu’s Jewellery, Crimson Aura, , Arko by Archana jain, Divine Raga, Paribhasa, Utopiaa, Silver Petals, RASHEE JEWELS, EarLite, Ros Petals, Adah & Minal Bhandhary Poonawala.

Gorgeous sarees in silks, georgettes, cotton, tussar, etc will be exhibited along with other desi styles like Anarkali, Lehenga and Salwar-Kameez. Keep your eye out for loads of magnificent designs, colors and detail work, mamas.
