Burger Frites

Burgers never really went out of fashion but of late, they are back with big bang. New East Coast joint Burger Frites blends the American classic with French attention to detail. Burger Frites is a spin off from French owner Alexandre Pini’s first steakhouse, Braseiro across the road. These guys are all about using good ingredients at each level. They use the best U.S. Angus beef (from Huber’s), which is then flame-grilled so it is deliciously crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, wedged in-between artisanal Brioche buns from a French bakery bien sûr), and topped with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Unlike many competitors, Burger Frites make their fries by hand (cut in-house and double fried). Order up at the counter of this sleek dark teal and gold spot. Choose between the 180-gram Angus Beef Patty, Crispy Chicken or for the veggie option, a Breaded Brie Cheese. Burgers start at $16 plus add ons of cheese and bacon while their fries are $4. The Kid’s Burger made with a smaller beef patty is $8. Save a little room for their Milkshakes ($9) – this ice cream-rich drink topped with whipped cream is best as a dessert – the Pistachio flavour is ooh lala!
