We took a short trip to Ipoh with two kids under 7 and checked out some kid-friendly attractions! Our first stop was Concubine Lane, a small shopping street that had lots of adorable trinkets and delicious snacks. The kids loved exploring the shops and checking out all of the toys on display.⁠
⁠
To burn off their energy, we took the kids to an abandoned playground at People’s Park, where they had a ton of fun running, climbing and swinging. Just be sure to bring along mosquito repellant to ward off the mozzies! ⁠
⁠
For more shopping (and air-con), we visited Ipoh Parade, a big shopping mall that has many familiar shops and local shops with lots of good deals. You’ll also find an arcade, where you can enjoy some friendly competition with the kids!⁠

After a day of exploring, we settled down in our spacious room at AC Hotel by Marriott. This hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport, making it super convenient for early morning or late night flights. Plus, you’ll love their newly renovated facilities including a swimming pool, fitness centre, indoor pickleball courts, mini golf putting area and even a family karaoke room! ⁠

Just a 3-min walk from Woodleigh MRT and right above Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre, this hot air balloon-themed playground is great for both toddlers and older kids. Think climbing ropes, a tall slide, swings, and even a toddler-safe play zone.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲:⁠
- While it isn’t a huge playground, it’s spacious enough for kids to explore and run around freely.
- There’s plenty of seating available around the area.
- It’s conveniently located, and since it’s right above the hawker centre, it makes for a perfect post-meal pit stop.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳:⁠
- The hot air balloon structure is pretty small and can fit at most three kids at once, so we recommend going there during non-peak periods.
- When we were there, we spotted a few large ants on the ground and on the slides, so be careful!

Ahoy, little adventurers! The Artground invites kids aged 9 and under to unleash their imagination and uncover the stories of lost islands inspired by Indonesia. This whimsical landscape is filled of hands-on activities, role-playing games and mythical creatures. Here, kids can create their own stories and discover cultural heritage through play.⁠

Kids can head to The Marketplace, where they can learn about financial literacy through role-playing activities. As they trade, they will get to explore key concepts like saving, spending and managing money.⁠

- Our kids loved the slides and stuffed animals that they could use to create stories.⁠
- There are endless ways to play and bond with the kids.⁠
