Wee Ling writes our Overseas Mama articles. Wee Ling is back in Singapore for now with her husband and half-French firstborn after more than 10 years in China, Hong Kong and France, for the most part working in finance. Parenting is made easy these days with family support and copious amounts of Blk 85 bee tai mak soup. She still misses cheap French wines, though.
Namita divides her time among cooking, writing, developing digital marketing strategies, and chasing her squealing toddler around her apartment. A lifelong foodie, her desire to make Indian cooking more accessible and non-intimidating led to the creation of the popular Indian Spicebox Facebook page, cookbook and her unique and beautiful Spicebox Kit.
Dr. Cheryl Kam believes in the traditional model of holistic general practice that is compassionate, professional, and personalised. She consults at Complete Healthcare International with an excellent team of physicians, attending to the medical needs of the international community, including Children’s Health, Women’s Health, Health screenings, Travel Medicine and minor surgery. Outside of work she enjoys SCUBA diving, running, and her piano. She gets her spiritual nourishment from dedicating time towards the needs of her local church.
Candice is one of the co-founders of Coding Lab, a school which teaches young kids to code. She’s a self-confessed tech geek whose idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon involves watching Star Trek reruns or fiddling with the latest gadgets. She can often be found checking out the latest sci-fi read or playing the piano to entertain her two energetic littlies.
Priyanka is an adventurous eater who traded in PR and marketing for start-ups and upstarts, to write about food and other delicious things. She reads, writes and cooks, but spends most of her time trying to train her ‘strong willed’ baby girl to eat like a gourmand. Follow her foodie mama adventures on Instagram and Facebook.
Indian by birth, Priyanka grew up in beautiful Seychelles and Kenya and attended universities in Switzerland and the UK, before heading to Florida, getting married and then moving to Singapore 11 years ago! After such an international upbringing, Priyanka loves being in Singapore as it mirrors her experiences of being part of a perfect melting pot, where she gets to meet lots of people from various walks of life. She’s finally following her passion as a freelance writer, having appeared in various magazines and online publications in Singapore.
