Canadian International School: Diverse pathways to graduation

News: CIS expands offerings in Secondary Years to include AP courses for a personalised academic pathway
Known for its strong International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, Canadian International School (CIS) has expanded its offering to include the globally recognised American Advanced Placement (AP) courses. This gives students the flexibility to chart their own course and plan how they prepare for university. Secondary students can personalise their programme by combining AP courses with IB subjects. AP courses offer college-level learning and a chance to dive deeper into subjects they are passionate about.
Here, there is no “right” path to university. For example, a student aiming for engineering could take the full IB Diploma or combine IB with AP courses. Both routes are equally recognised and respected by leading universities worldwide. By designing their own academic path, students can personalise their learning to support their strengths and goals. Whether your child is interested in engineering, global studies, design, entrepreneurship, the sciences or a mix of everything, they have the freedom to explore and grow in a way that best suits them. Beyond the classroom, students can also participate in excursions to more than 10 countries in Asia and Europe and more than 450 extracurricular activities (ECAs) from Canadian winter sports like snowboarding, hockey and skiing, to language classes, Zumba, yoga and more!
