Dover Court International School has plenty of exciting updates on its Early Childhood Education programme! The school has recently launched NEST, a brand new programme for children aged 3 to 7, as well as confirmation on their upcoming Early Learning discovery and play cove opening next year. Read on to find out more about their nature-inspired, child-centred environment, and how you can experience it all for yourself at their upcoming Open House taking place on 12 May 2026!
New NEST programme for children aged 3 – 7

NEST–which stands for “Nurturing Early Success Together”–is a bespoke blend, inspired by Reggio‑Emilia principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Dover Court’s very own approach to high-quality learning. It centres on inquiry- and play-based learning, where children’s questions guide projects, which teachers expertly connect to literacy, numeracy and other academic foundations. This ensures learning is joyful, deep and transferable across contexts, while building critical thinking, communication skills and a love of discovery.
The entire NEST environment is built to support just that. The programme has its very own dedicated space on the school’s 12-acre green campus, with classrooms intentionally designed to be calm, natural and welcoming, encouraging focus, imagination and purposeful play. Children are nurtured to develop independence and collaboration, while teachers listen closely to their questions and ideas, expertly guiding learning projects inspired by their curiosity.
NEST also takes a whole-child approach, nurturing social, emotional, physical and academic growth through specialist learning in Mandarin, music, sports, swimming, coding and co-curriculars. Children develop resilience, confidence and strong communication skills, regularly sharing their learning through assemblies, presentations and videos. Parents are true partners in the journey, staying connected via workshops, platforms and shared experiences. This collaborative “Together” philosophy ensures every child feels supported, valued and ready to thrive in a warm, inclusive community.
Coming soon! New nature-inspired Early Learning playground

A highly-anticipated addition to Dover Court International School’s Early Learning space is the upcoming nature-inspired, child-centred discovery and play cove! Set to open at the start of the next academic year (mid-August 2026), the early learning play area supports the NEST programme and reflects all the best practices of international Early Childhood Education principles and Reggio-inspired practices. It features themed play zones, climbing nets and bridges, sand and water play areas, sensory engagement and even quiet reflective corners, all designed to encourage collaborative learning and natural exploration.
Keen to see all the exciting upcoming additions for yourself? Sign up to Discover NEST at Dover Court on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, 10am to 12pm. This open day will allow you to see how NEST benefits children aged 3 to 7, and how Dover Court International School nurtures early success and builds strong academic foundations for the next stages of students’ learning journeys through personalised inquiry, joyful exploration and collaborative partnerships with families.
