Thinking about school for your child aged 3 to 7? Find out how Dover Court International School’s NEST community combines a nurturing environment, play-based learning and specialist teaching, plus check out their September open house details.
For children aged 3 to 7, the early years are a time for building confidence, curiosity and independence. Parents want a nurturing environment where their child feels happy and supported, while also laying strong foundations for the years ahead. At Dover Court International School, families can find both through NEST, a dedicated early learning community that combines the close-knit feel of a smaller setting with the opportunities, expertise and facilities of an award-winning international school with more than 50 years of educational experience in Singapore.
A school within a school with specialist learning

NEST, which stands for Nurturing Early Success Together, is Dover Court’s dedicated learning community for children from Nursery through Year 2. Designed as a “school within a school”, NEST gives young children the familiarity and security of a dedicated early years environment while keeping them connected to the wider Dover Court community.
This means children can benefit from a close-knit setting while accessing specialist teaching in Music, Mandarin, PE and Swimming, as well as the facilities and opportunities available across the school. NEST’s learning approach brings together play and inquiry inspired by Reggio Emilia with the English National Curriculum and International Primary Curriculum (IPC), giving children opportunities to explore, ask questions and build foundations in literacy, numeracy and communication.
Big-school opportunities from the earliest years

While NEST offers the warmth of a dedicated early learning community, children can also benefit from the resources and opportunities of a much larger international school. As part of Nord Anglia Education, Dover Court students have access to collaborations with organisations including The Juilliard School and MIT, bringing performing arts, STEAM and innovation into their learning journeys.
These wider opportunities extend beyond specialist subjects. For families considering the longer-term school journey, NEST provides a starting point within a familiar community, with children able to continue into Dover Court’s Primary and Secondary years as they grow. The learning environment is designed to support this experience too. NEST now has access to Dover Court’s new 10,000 sq ft Discovery & Play Cove, providing space for children to explore, create, collaborate and learn through hands-on experiences.
Families can experience the NEST community for themselves at the NEST Open House on Saturday, 26 September, from 9:30am to 11:00am. Meet the school leadership, explore the learning environment and discover how NEST brings together the familiarity of a close-knit early years community with the facilities, specialist teaching and wider opportunities of Dover Court.
