Octoburst! – A Children’s Festival
Octoburst! invites the young and even-younger to imagine their future by exploring a world of endless possibilities through the arts! From delightful performances to hands-on workshops, Octoburst! is the perfect festival to encourage discovery, play and creativity. Opening with a Drawing Competition and Colouring Fun, little ones can warm up to the weekend by exploring and showcasing their own talents before settling down to watch two interactive, mesmerising productions from Italy, Casa and Spot. Tiny tots will also be introduced to a beautiful showing of Swan Lake, with a meet and greet opportunity (cameras at the ready mama!) with the cast. Make the most of the weekend and sign up for special parent-child workshops that offer a unique bonding platform for both mama and bub to enjoy the arts through sensory activities!

Women on a Mission: Anousheh Ansari, Reaching for the Stars!
Share an aspirational lunch with Anousheh Ansari, the world’s first private space explorer! In support of UN Women’s Singapore Committee’s efforts to stop human trafficking in Asia, Anousheh will be sharing the tale of her amazing journey from daughter of war-torn Iran to space Pioneer! Serenading Pangolins
Arts Fission’s Young People Environmental Dance Theatre Production, Serenading Pangolins uses creative staging and exiting choreography in an effort to raise awareness towards the threat of the Pangolins’ extinction! Watch as little ones dance and perform alongside professional dancers in a series of dream-like and dramatic sketches that highlight the threat these anteaters face each day.

‘Singapore Through the Eyes of a Child’ Art Exhibition at EtonHouse Sentosa
To celebrate 50 years of the Little Red Dot (and their own 20th anniversary), EtonHouse is holding an exhibition of children’s artwork ranging from paintings to writing, all geared toward opening up creative avenues for kids to express the world they live in. They’ll also be holding clay sculpting and canvas painting sensory workshops for kids and families, not to mention it’ll be your first chance to get a good look around the brand new EtonHouse Sentosa — Singapore’s first heritage preschool! Be sure to stick around for the fabulous silent auction, as proceeds will go towards EtonHouse Community Fund, the school’s charity initiative that helps support children from underprivileged backgrounds.

What the Ladybird Heard Storytime & Playgroup
Love storybooks? Sassy Mamas and their children are invited to a special What the Ladybird Heard-themed playgroup on 6 October at The Australian International School! Along with a storytime come-t0-life, attendees will get to do a drama workshop conducted by the show’s stars and meet a surprise cast of characters ahead of the play adapted from this award-winning children’s picture book by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks (which you can see live in Singapore from 9-11 October, mama!).
