Being the most iconic hiking trail in Hong Kong, Dragon’s Back isn’t actually as intimidating as it sounds. The entire trail spans 8km long, but there are shorter routes you can take with the kids. What we love about this hike is that the trail is well-marked and gives you a good workout with some relatively steep sections. But, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Big Wave Bay from Shek O Peak, as well as panoramic views from the Dragon’s Back Viewing Point. Travelling with older kids? We definitely recommend doing the whole 8km route that ends at Big Wave Bay where there are eateries, ancient rock carvings, swimming and more.
