Let Kiddos Make Merry at Winter Music Camp

Worried about cabin fever during the upcoming school holidays, mama? Children can sing Christmas songs (or practice instruments to their hearts’ content) at the upcoming Winter Music Camp from Sassy Mama fave Aureus Academy

Oh there’s no place like home for the holidays… but we’re sure both mamas and kids would agree that it’s nice getting out of the house every now and then during school vacation! Why not have a blast at the new Aureus Academy Winter Music Camp this December, mama? With one-, two- and three-day options, kiddos age 4 and up can jam to their hearts’ content, belt out Christmas songs at the finale concert, get expert tips from the creative faculty members, and best of all make friends with other music-loving campers!

Each camp runs from 9.30am-4.30pm, including both lunch and a one-hour public concert at the end of the day to showcase every participant. There’s a wide variety of activities on offer, including:

• Instrumental studio classes
• Group ensemble class
• Young Conductors in Action
• “An Instrument-a-Day”
• Building Blocks (theory)
• Animated Musicals
• Music appreciation

… and much more! Kiddos can choose from at least five different activities each day, and at the end they get to put it all together in a super-fun concert in Aureus Academy’s amazing 70-seat recital hall at Forum the Shopping Mall (conveniently located right on Orchard Road).

Participants will be grouped according to age (4-8, 9-12, and teenagers), but returning students won’t have to repeat programmes they’ve done in the past. Just make sure to state *returning* on their enrolment form, mama. We love that camps are limited to just 50 participants per day, ensuring heaps of personal attention and plenty of time in one of the school’s 16 state-of-the-art music studios!

Camps will run from Monday, 14 December – Friday, 18 December and Monday, 21 December to Wednesday, 23 December; kids wishing to attend three days don’t need to go consecutively, either.
