We’ve long been fans of Inspire Mum & Baby, a holistic fitness, swimming and therapy centre with its own indoor heated pool for prenatal women, babies and children. They’ve been around for 12 years, but have now moved to a brand new East Coast location, conveniently located on Tanjong Katong. They offer swimming lessons for babies from 2 months of age, and for kiddos up to age 7 using STA levels and certifications. All classes are held in small groups and led by fully qualified teachers (private lessons are available, too). What truly sets them apart, however, is their “Birthlight” Philosophy, which advocates a truly kind, gentle, and effective approach to encourage happy interactions between parents and babies (and babies and the water!).
Use promo code SASSYMAMA15 to enjoy your first trial class at just $30 (limited to the first 100 customers).

Newly launched by an Italian mother of two living in Singapore, Gloro has some of the prettiest, most unique patterns we’ve ever seen. Can we just have that bathroom, please?! In addition to wildly colourful and inventive wallpaper patterns (all hand-drawn by the designer!), the collection also features beautiful linen and silk cushions (well priced between $80-$105), fun cocktail napkins, and other beautiful silk accessories.

Is there anything more suited to the dog days of August than a beautiful sparkling rosé wine? Nyetimber, England’s leading producer of sparkling wines, has recently launched its fabulous sparkling Rosé Multi-Vintage in Singapore. In addition to its gorgeous, sunset-pink colour (which you just know we’re going to love here at Sassy HQ!), the palate has a creamy, round texture with refreshing redcurrant, raspberry, and cherry flavours to go with aromas like fresh red fruits and spicy anise and lavender.
Nyetimber Sparkling Rosé Multi-Vintage retails for $118 and is available at several fine restaurants in Singapore and online at Analogue Wine Merchant
Can you ever have enough ice cream in hot, hot Singapore? NO! Insta-fave American soft serve shop Little Damage has just opened their second outlet (the first is in Los Angeles) right here in Singers, at Wheelock Place. Known for their “Goth-inspired” soft serve (thanks to distinctive charcoal black waffle cones and playful skull motifs), Little Damage offers four different soft serve flavours (on rotation every two months), with inventive flavours like blue “Unicorn Tears”, White Chocolate, Churros, Earl Grey, and even vegan Chocolate and Peanut Butter Banana. In fact, there is always at least one vegan option on offer, which is pretty cool! We hear they’ll even be featuring a National Day Special from 5-11 August with a limited-edition red cone made just for Singapore!
Soft serve from $7; cones are $2 extra and the first topping (except popcorn) is free.

Having developed a bit of a cult following since its launch in 2015, the Japanese brand anello has finally opened a standalone shop in Singapore at – where else? – Jewel Changi Airport. Simple and functional (we hear they make for fab diaper bags), anello (which means “ring” in Italian) bags are characterized by a clever design with a wide opening and hidden wire under the top zipper, making it easy to quickly check and access everything in your bag while also keeping it secure. We’re big fans of the tote, backpack, and over-the-shoulder styles in particular.

As we wrote last year, the new show Killing Eve was one of our fave series of 2018. If you haven’t binged it yet, mamas, you’ve got two weeks before Season 2 drops on BBC First on Friday 16 August. Tracking the intricate cat-and-mouse dance between a brilliant (if slightly harried) MI5 agent and a capricious assassin with a killer sense of style, the darkly comic series is truly unlike anything else on television, with a refreshingly feminist sensibility. We can’t wait!

The grande dame of Singapore hotels, Raffles Singapore, officially re-opened on 1 August following over two years of extensive renovations. The meticulous restoration has resulted in new suite categories and refreshed dining and shopping options, including a renovated Long Bar and new offerings from acclaimed Michelin-Starred Chefs Anne-Sophie Pic and Alain Ducasse. We can’t wait to check it out and return with out-of-town guests for one of our favourite afternoon teas in Singapore!
Founded by fellow Sassy Mama Sabina Munshi, Baréskin is a made-in-Singapore skincare brand that offers products perfect for our tropical climate. We’re loving their Glacial Cleanser, a non-foaming gel face wash that harnesses the power of botanical enzymes from the Swiss glaciers to gently lift and remove impurities without stripping the skin. Packed with a potent blend of antioxidants and healing marine extracts, this fresh daily cleanser serves up an active infusion of vitamins for luminous, even-toned skin with every wash (and leaves your face feeling super soft after!). The Facial Elixir, made of 100% organic jojoba oil, is perfect for dehydrated skin and helps to nourish, balance and protect the skin against free radical damage. We recommend just 3-4 drops per application during daytime, and a generous slathering before bedtime to wake up to supple, hydrated skin.
